Doesn't look like it. They phoned me today as well, saying "we've got your PAC code for you", then "why are you thinking of leaving?". Me "well, the reception is crap where I live". "Not really a lot we can do then".
Indeed there isn't!0 -
if i wanted to start a new contract with o2 , can i call them and get offered what my mom got offered? she gets a nokia 6500 classic , 800mins, 1000 texts for £5 pm0

wats so funny? i got it for my mo
wats the best network to start a new contract with?0 -
this was the second call by them will they call again??
Can't answer that without being psychic.....
Would help if you gave more details though like a) have you given your 30 days notice, b) have you requested your PAC code c) have you been given your PAC code.
However its doubtful they will call a third time.0 -

I'm assuming the deal you got for your mum was a renewal rather than a new deal? Renewals (almost) always get a better deal than new contracts especially if you are going direct to the networks.
How much does your mum normally spend each month excluding line rental?
My GF got the 6500 slide free over 12 months (after cashback) but you have to pay the £30 a month first.... plus that was only about 200 mins and 500 texts.0 -
hi thanks for trying to help
erm yh ive got less than 3 weeks left, ive requested my pac code, the first call they gave me was when they gave me the pac code without offering anything, they called today for the second time offering an awfull offer.
so the answers for all your questions is yes
im paying £35 pm for 750 mins and 250 texts.0 -
the reason for the cheap rental is that my mom was paying 55 per month before that for 600mins and 1000texts. and she has been with o2 for so long. i called for her to see what they were able to give her, they first offered her a cashback deal but i said no then they offered that.0

Hi All,
Am at present with Vodafone, but want to leave at the end of the contract (30th April), as my bill is currently in the region of £45 p/m, AFTER they have reduced my tariff (on request) 4 times in the last year!!!
I've been pretty dissapointed with their customer service in all the years I've been with them, and was thinking of either turning to Orange PAYG - dolphin looks a good deal, or trying to negotiate a better rate with Vodafone.
Any tips or advice about what I can expect from them - vodafone just so fckin expensive compared to the competition. Also I live 10 miles from central london, so their coverage arguement doesn't bother me :-)
When should I hand my notice in?
Many thanks for your help, this website is rockin' and chocka block full of good advice!!0 -

well for wat your paying per month, you can get a good offer, give them notice 30 days before your contract finishes, that way they offer you the best they can. but it looks like its not working for me lol. they are not always really expensive.
btw wat do people think the retention deals will be on the nokia 5800 as they are available for free at 30 pm for new customers?0
