Hi all
Not the most thrilling of threads but as I'm trying hard to cut gas and electricity consumption I'm interested to know what you guys have your thermostats set at over the winter?
I've got mine at 16 degrees at the moment but it's flippin cold and i've got two fleeces on :rolleyes:

16!!! I live in a three bed terrace and even without the heating its 18 (and that feels cold!!!) You must have some very thick jumpers on!
Feel ashamed to say now that I have it at 22!!! Maybe i need to suffer the cold a bit more0 -

I've got mine at 15-16, but haven't put it on timed yet, we just turn it on at about 4pm until my youngest goes to bed at 7pm. We have cavity wall insulation and good loft insulation so while it's reasonably mild the house stays warm for hours after the heating is off.
I try my best not to put the heating on during the day when the kids are at school, but it's getting hard. I've got a jumper and fleece on and my hands are freezing! I get a bit peed off sometimes that I'm in a situation where I'm so worried about the bills I end up shivering rather than putting the heating on, but then I persuade myself that this way I'm doing my bit for the environment and it's not really about money (yeah right :rolleyes: :rotfl:)0 -
Mine is set at 70 Fahrenheit and I am in Florida!!!! Its blooming cold here.To Dare is To Do:beer:0
