Hi

I can't seem to find the thread now but when I first looked into ordering from onestopphoneshop, I remember seeing that a few people had sent in their 4th bill only to be told that it was the wrong one and it was actually the 5th bill that was needed and that the 1st bill received didn't count... is this correct? My 4th bill just arrived today and don't want to send it off if it is the wrong one.

thanks.

    From osps website
If you placed your order on the 14th April your first claim would be valid from the 14th August and would expire 30 days from this date.

My understanding is that it does not go by the billing date but by the date of connection. You then send in the latest bill you have prior to that date. This was told to me by their CS. Please correct me if I am wrong.
  • Basically it maybe the 4th or 5th - but the way to find out is wait until 120 days of being connected, and send in the latest bill you have in hand.

So, if you receive bill 4 after 110 days - wait until 120 days and then send bill 4 in - NOT waiting until bill 5 arrives as that will be TOO late (and the wrong bill!)

I will need to dig out my paper work as i read and understood it to be the 5th bill you sent in which shows that the 4th month/bill has been paid:confused:
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • I sent the bill that came around the time of being connected four months. Call them to check - it's a case of sitting and waiting for them to answer, but it's not worth getting wrong!

I think you could find this is too late. For your sake (and ours:D please check. Whatever it is the position is obviously confusing. A point I am sure would not go in OSPS's favour if challenged in court.

You have chosen Canary 30 with 9m @ £1.99You will be eligible for the following gift :

Direct Credit* sent via cheque to you : £3Cashback*** Redeemable at Month 4 of your contract : £83Cashback*** Redeemable at Month 8 of your contract : £83Cashback*** Redeemable at Month 12 of your contract : £83.09
    *Direct Credit
Your credit of £3 will be paid to you by cheque within 90 days of connection.
    ***Cashback
All cashback offers are available via redemption. You will need to send a copy of your paid network bill for the relevant month (see above), along with the correct redemption certificate (which you will receive in your welcome pack), to the address provided. Each cashback will be paid by cheque within 45 days of receipt, subject to your compliance with the redemption conditions.

Taken from the website re the offer i got, but in the paperwork
" Check the redemption times on the sales invoice, they are denoted by the letter 'm' followed by a number e.g £25 cashback M3' would mean you are able to claim £25 cashback after 3 months of being connected."

From the website i took it that you send in a paid copy of month 4 which would show in month 5:confused: but i looked at dates last night and there maybe a safe week or 2 - going by the paper work and to send invoice after 120 days means the bill i would send would be coming out to me 21/22 january (4th bill) but due to be sent 17th feb but if 5th bill comes 21/22 feb and i post it straight away im thinking i would still be in the 30 days that i have to claim? What do you think?

Here is how I read it as explained to me by OSPS customer service. If you had taken your contract on 21 Sept then month 4 would be anytime from Jan 21 and at that time you send in the most previous bill you have. So if you received your bill on Jan 17th that is the bill you send in. The date they refer to is the connection date and not the date of the bill. If you waited until Feb 17 you would be extremely lucky to get your claim in in time.
