I've been given nearly a full box of these, and we don't like porridge. Any ideas what i can use them for please? I hate to see food go to waste (even more so if its free, lol)
Thanks

Flapjacks! Yummy and there are loads of recipes around for them0

You can add a handfull to mince to make it go further, don't add too much tho, or you will end up with meat flavoured porridge!

They are good for dry skin. Put a fistful of oats in the toe of some old tights and tie them to the hot tap when you run the bath. The bath water gets a "milky" appearance that is soothing for itchy dry skin. You can add a few drops of oil as well. Baby oil, olive oil, whatever you've got that doesn't smell like a chip shop0

Definitely flapjacks!
And - add some to a crumble topping for extra food value
Toasted, (put on a baking sheet in the top of the oven for a few minutes until golden) they make an alternative to breadcrumbs - mix with grated cheese & use to top macaroni cheese, fish pie, pasta bake etc etc etc0 -

Granola! Which is mostly porridge oats, with some nuts and seeds, held together with syrup/honey and baked. It tastes great just as cereal with milk, or with fruit and yoghurt, plus it beats popcorn in front of a DVD... Nigella has a great recipe in Feast, I don't know if it is up on her website yet.0

Can anyone help me do something exciting with 3 spare boxes of porridge oats, please?
I was hoping to make something healthy for us (not porridge though as we're fed up with it) which seems like a treat. I have a Panny sd253 and would LOVE to do something exciting with that and porridge oats and cheese maybe, or if anyone can recommend something biscuit like which isn't too sweet and without too much butter that would be fab!
I'm fed up with the boxes falling out of my baking cupboard. They were on bogof many moons ago, that'll teach me to think before I buy!
Thanks in advance
