Folks I need help (well thats been said before).
While Windows Messenger works well. When i try and log into MSN Messenger 7.5 it always says "MSN messenger failed because the service is busy, please try again later"
This is a consistent problem whenever i log in from my home connection (it hasn't worked for three weeks), though it is fine when i connect in MoneySaving Towers.
Can anyone throw any light on this......
HELP!

Any error codes being chucked up, also I would change your password
just change that and see if log on corrects itself. Plus if you have
left it open (running) on one machine you wont be able to connect
on another machine. make sure you right click the icon in the sys tray and exit completely.
In otherwords close down messenger at Work for use at home
and vice versa as it seems you are still logged on.....0 -
Go into tools > options > connection > advanced and have a look what's set in there. Shouldn't have anything in any of the boxes, except perhaps 1080 in second box on SOCKS..
I had a similar problem myself when i first downloaded 7.50 -
Hi Martin
Did you receive my email?0 -
Again in tools options connection there is an option to troubleshoot - it takes a few seconds for it to self test before the troubleshoot button shows up. Try that. It sorted my last connection problem out first time out of the boxHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. That's not the case.
It will simply disconnect you on the system you're left signed on to.0 -
Oh yes, check that your Firewall ports are open for the MSN Messenger Program.
An update was available recently, if you updated it, the Firewall may have changed it's access settings, and denies the program access.0 -
Tried everything above - and still no result.
The interesting thing is there's no error message just the 'too busy' messageMartin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

Hiya Martin,
Go to Start, Run, and type in:
regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
That'll reregister the MSXML3.dll again.
