A great shame. Went to LAS with them and was most impressed. :(
    Timmay!
  • Oh dear, someone I met recently had booked with them for a huge family holiday next year. Bet this has ruined his Christmas - I mean he'll probably get his money back but won't get the same quality flights for the same price now.
The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j

You're friend should be ok as MaxJet have bought seats on EOS, who are also a top banana service, for people who have already paid for tickets.

    all the best

Think you will find they have only bought 500 seats on EOS to ensure passengers that are currently stranded can return. It is not for all bookings.

  • Have heard tonight that Maxjet have gone bankrupt. I had paid for two tickets for travel next year via their website using my debit card (paid £1500) - am I covered under my travel insurance or can I claim the money back through my bank?

    Help!!!

    Look on the maxjet website.

You should be able to claim back from your credit card or from your travel agent.

If you were on the NY route, silverjet are offering you the opportunity to rebook with them at the same price you paid maxjet - a real bargain.

Silverjet are offering a price match on the New York route.

I am speaking to you at this moment in Las Vegas, where upon checking my emails was told that my ride home has gone belly up!! I have been trying for 2 days to speak to someone at either of the emergancy numbers given to see how they are getting us home, but waiting 1 hour on each number with no sign of being connected I am starting to get a little worried. I assume that they are really busy, and we are not due to leave here till the 3rd. January, and it has been outlined in the email that we will probably be getting a lift from virgin, but that is the least of the problems. As virgin only fly to Gatwik and my car is at Stansted, getting from a to b with 4 large suitcases with 32KG each in them might cause a small problem. I will keep you updated on my progress.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
