I can't believe this thread is almost a year old and I still don't have a final result.
I had a letter from FOS this morning saying that an adjudicator had upheld my complaint.
I've already had a refund of the ticket prices (but not until the travel dates had passed in July, as MBNA always insisted). However the adjudicator has recommended they pay me the cost difference for my new tickets plus some compensation for the delay.
However MBNA have rejected the recommendation and so it's now being referred to an ombudsman. Sounds promising though.
