thank's shy skin couldnt get the almond flour but managed the soya so hope it turns out ok.
had 3 bits of choc it was the 81% coco out of lidl hope i havent blown it but it looks like its only about 5g carbs for the amount i had.
Had the most delicious tea homemade burgers with cucmber lettuce and celery and 1/4 tub of corriander pesto (about 2g carbs for the whole jar) and cheese. This diet is so love hate after my tea i felt great and felt i had feasted like a king and really full. Earlier however when I was starving felt like i was going to devour a banana managed to resist.
B Bacon Eggs and Tom
L spare ribs
T as above
snack 3 bits of 81% coco choc. Is this ok all the experts.
Any way the diet is going well and clothes feel lose already:j:j:j:j.

By the way the co-op burger last night was gorgeous if anyone is tempted & half-price at the moment!!
ames, that's the great thing about making coleslaw yourself, you can just add anything you fancy, as long as it's low carb of course.0 -
stacey cant remember if u are doing atkins or not but if u are u shouldnt be having the choc but it wont do too much damage i am sure.... re the spare ribs tho i would check what they have in them cos some have sugar... oh and btw if u are hungry EAT!!! a piece of cheese or ham or some celery with primula anything but dont go hungry
ok u guys this thread is so long u are gonna have to learn to search it otherwise we gonna have everything on here like 5times and its confusing for peeps... u all know how to do this right??.... the only other option is to store all our recipes somewhere and provide a link but theres so much in this thread it would take ages to copy so get searching gang!!!
but as i am a NICE Person (stop laffing u lot harrumph) i will copy it again
instant bread/cake
100g Ground Almonds.. u can use less almond and more flax or 50/50 ..i do 20flax 80almond
25g melted butter
2 eggs
1 tablespoon cream
1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
Mix wet ingredients, then add the dry. Pour into whatever container you like- (a lunch box makes it fit exactly into your lunch box afterwards)and nuke for 3 mins
u can make lots of variations of this by adding different herbs etc or add in sweetener and lemon or other essence or da vincis if u have it or s/free cocoa powder and make it into a cake

mercy, is that a bought chocolate marscapone dessert or do you make it yourself, if so whats the recipe?
Hi hun
mascarpone, sifted cocoa (do mine through a tea strainer to get rid of lumps) sweetener. I have used splenda and it's good but agave nectar is better. Mix all well with a spoon:D I then put into ramekin and dust with a little more cocoa, fridge for a bit till very cold, then reach once again for a spoon
You have to try it to get the best amounts for your taste but as a guide I use 100g mascarpone, 2 teasp cocoa, either 1 heaped teasp splenda or a good squirt agave.
There is plenty to feel you've had a proper treat but very few carbs as no sugar. It's very rich
You then don't get the 'reach for some more' urges you (at least I) get with eating chocolates.
It's a fave of mine as it's made in 2 minutes and with that in the fridge for later I'm really not tempted by naughties.

Sorry if some of us are a little sqeamish when it comes to bones, it's grim up north and what with that and offal in all it's forms I ate very well as a child
Selfish, I know, but if no-one else is after them I should get a good deal from the butcher
Not eaten yet but looking forward to gammon, eggs and mushrooms for brunch.
Now off to remove the cat poo from the back yard else I will have trouble putting the bin out in the dark in the morning.
Have a lovely morning all!

Hiya!
I don't know if Atkins itself can be vegetarian but I think we have at least one low carb veggie amongst us. theonly'gaye'inthevillage springs to mind, try searching gaye's posts.
Best of luck!

Morning, folks
Wow, that choc mascarpone recipe sounds good, Mercy! Think I'll get some mascarpone to keep in the fridge for those little emergency situations.
Went to a 60th birthday party last night and so ate my 'dinner' at 4.30 p.m. as I thought the buffet would have little I could eat - but I needn't have worried.
Yesterday:
B: none
L: bacon and Brie salad
D1: sausages, blue cheesy leeks, broccoli; strawberries and cream
D2 (): chicken leg, sliced meats, salad, coleslaw; 2 glasses of wine :A
I gave in and watched the Jamie programme on pork. I managed not to throw anything at the screen, but WHY does he talk to his audience as if we're 10 years old and why does he have to be so coarse? Rant over.
But it was pretty interesting and I will definitely be cooking belly and shoulder of pork - they looked scrummy!
JPretty, I wish you'd have a word with my OH - he's a recently diagnosed Type-2 and is following his doctor's advice on eating: i.e. high-carb, low fat. And takes 6 tablets a day.
With regard to veggie Atkins, both Gaye* and Tinkerbell (who also posts on here and has lost loads of weight low-carbing) are veggies. Try to get hold of a copy of Rose Elliot's Vegetarian Low-Carb Diet (Amazon have put the wrong picture up, but it's the right book). She has a fantastic cook book too. I have both, even though I'm not veggie.
ETA: And Badger_Lady too, I think?0
