Does anyone know what couriers direct charge if your parcel is slightly bigger than what they quote??
My parcel is 71cm x 66cm x 10cm and they say the max is 120X60X60 cms
    Thanks xx

Couriers Direct do offer an oversize service; Maximum Dimensions: 184CM x 60CM x 60CM, Yet yours is still over
    http://www.mhdirectcouriers.co.uk/services/?details&prodid=DHL%20-%202%20Day%20Service%20For%20120CM%20-%20184CM%20Items

As the Volumetric size of your package is 1.7 cubic feet & the maximum is 15.3, I'd say use the standard service & hope they don't notice the extra 6cm & measure it.

    Have you tried asking them?

Those who used to use eBay seller YSWD (you_sell_we_deliver) who used Parcelforce, you can still book collections but only via the phone. Their prices are still the best for Parcelforce.
  • Does anyone know if UPS try to deliver twice in the same day, they didnt leave a failed delivery note.
They seem to work off a paperless system in general..
THE RECEIVER WAS UNAVAILABLE TO SIGN ON THE 1ST DELIVERY ATTEMPT. A 2ND DELIVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE
  • Here's another I saw on another forum, starts from £3.95 but thats if you do some decent volume I think.

Fastway are good for local deliveries but the national rate @ £5.81 (inc VAT) when you pre-purchase 100 deliveries & use them within 30 days is not viable when DHL are cheaper or £5.99 on eBay

They will also only charge £6.81 in the regions where they can handle their own deliveries otherwise its £9.34

today will be the first collection for an item sold via ebay. I have used Parcel2Ship to request a collection from Parcel Force.

Parcel2ship have sent me by email the label with a barcode to attach to the package and a receipt for myself that the courier would need to sign and date. This receipt includes my details and the recepient details and tracking number.

But as it is the first collection can anyone plz advise what precautions I need to take when the driver comes to collect the parcel? What do I need to ask him exactly to make sure my item will be safe?

Do I need to ask him for an ID although I know no one but Parcel Force will come and collect it?

Does he need to provide me with paperwork? even though I have a receipt for him to sign?
