If I were you, I'd tell them you only accept returns in the condition it was sent (which they can't do). Might be worth pointing out that game factories weight the boxes that go out, and if there's even a few grams discrepency, the box won't leave.
It comes down to your word against theirs, and if they go to Paypal the buyer can return it (at their expense) for a full refund. It's then up to you to take it up with your supplier.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

Its actually 7 days to inform you but they have 28 days to return. This does happen I received an empty DVD case from Amazon before. Its not the sort story people make up so I would think its GenuineBack on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

Irrespective of how many days, Paypal will still side with them. If I were the seller I would refund and take it up with the supplier.0

whilst is does happen from time to time you still have dishonest sellers trying it on, im not saying that this person is but it is 50/50.
I have to say if i was trading in games i would be on the phone to the supplier asap to see if they will replace it for you, if they will tell your buyer you can exchange it for them and inform them it wont be sealed as you will open it to confirm the disk is there before posting outEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

We've not been given dates so you don't know that. Anyway I would be tempted to refund after a quick check into the background of the buyer0 -

Actually, it can happen..and has to me. I purchased a game from Amazon quite some time ago, it arrived sealed but had no disc inside...must have been a simple error during packing at the factory. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
Do you have the postal slip with the weight of it on? Would there be much of a difference with game in or not?~*Cerenia*~

If you sent it sealed, then you can't prove that there was a game in there to begin with. It does happen...
Just ask them to return the box, and give them a refund.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Anyone can say that though, oh ill buy a PS3, take the ps3 out and send and empty box back to the seller for refund as paypal will side with them?
I no Tesco's policy like all other stores is if the seal is broken no refund.0
