Morning everyone! I'm just back from my hols - had a fabulous time. Ate a bit naughtily but walked a lot so hopefully that has helped counter some of the damage.
No WI for me this week so I'll record a STS please Shala.
I'm slowly catching up on the thread, hope you had all had a good week0 -
Morning all.
Just put up a washing line and I think I've done my body magic for the day, as Top Dog mistook this fairly mundane domestic task for a marvellous new game and I spent approximately thirty minutes chasing him round retrieving pegs, old line, a crisp packet that had blown into the garden...:rotfl:
Him to walk yet and then a trip to the Asda, then jumping around cheering on Bournemouth and then Liverpool, so I fully expect to be a size zero by the morning.Scrambled eggs with milk and cheese (part of HEXA) and plum tomatoes on HEXB toast with loads of Lea and Perrins.
D) Savoury rice and melon if I fancy it.
T) Either leftover lasagne (in which case, I will syn the splash of milk and 10g of reduced fat cheddar I used in the eggs, I think about 3?) or Cajun fish stew, which I love, but I think Top Bloke might hate. Luckily he is a big lasagne fan.0 -
Shala, 2lb off sorry it's not red and bold.11 more to go !!! Hopefully.
:j that's fantastic wiz. You've obviously seen off any effects of that chip supper! I've noticed you're making a massive effort to include all the Speed you can. It's paying off.:D....then jumping around cheering on Bournemouth and then Liverpool, so I fully expect to be a size zero by the morning.
I do hope Bournemouth put up a good fight against The Arrogant One (sorry tweets) and with their fifth purchase from Southampton (Official Supplier of Stars to the Premier League) Sadio Mane and Liverpool might do well.:(
Our wedding anniversary worked out really well in the end. When DH still hadn't remembered by lunchtime I had to tell him as he was planning to wear a tee shirt to football and I knew he wouldn't want to go to a decent restaurant wearing that (so self interest really). DH was mortified and ashamed that he hadn't remembered so couldn't be attentive enough for the rest of the day:rotfl:.
We had a snacky lunch in a nice coffee shop, went to the game, had a few G&Ts in a waterfront bar in the sunshine and then a fabulous meal in a brilliant Italian. Then home early enough to find they'd found enough highlights for MOTD that made our team look good! None of the food was SW friendly so it's onwards and upwards today.
I've had my SW breakfast (2 fried eggs on HEB toast), I'm having a JP with LO chilli followed by strawberries for lunch. Then we're off to a hog roast where I know I'll have meat and after that it's anyone's guess. Normal service to be resumed tomorrow.
It's a lovely, sunny day here again. I hope everyone's enjoying their weekend.:A0 -
The chicken katsu curry was AMAZING! Very spicy though so I had a sneaky beer to wash it down with
Says it serves 4, but Top Bloke and I had a large portion each and his seconds got rid of it all :T Big hit in our house
2.5 syns for the whole thing
2 large diced carrots
2 large diced onion
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp. ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tbsp. tomato puree
1 tsp chilli powder (I used extra hot which might explain the warmth!)
1 tsp Chinese five spice
1 tsp ground turmeric
350g boneless, skinless, chicken thighs cut into 1cm pieces
200 ml chicken stock
1 tbsp. cornflour
1 tbsp. water
200ml milk/soya milk (left 100ml of my HEXA for this)
20g bunch of coriander, roughly chopped, to serve (forgot this :rotfl:)
Fry the chicken, carrot, onion and salt until chicken sealed and vegetables softening
Add pastes, puree and spices and mix well, let this fry together for a further minute and add the stock
Mix cornflour and water together, and add this paste plus the milk
Bring to a simmer, cover and cook for 10 minutes (I did 15 as I am wary about chicken), stirring occasionally.
Served with Blue Dragon Long Grain Rice (free) and SW chips. Delicious, well worth the couple of syns and felt like a weekend treat.
TopGirl - I've added this to the front page - I love katsu chicken curry
Hope you don't mind but I amended your post to the syns Denise provided...Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

As a Liverpool fan, I came round to Lovren after a cracking season last season, which followed an abysmal Rodgers effort. Love Clyne and Lallana and Mane looked excellent against Barcelona, so hopeful he'll do well. Lambert though :rotfl:
Bless him! Glad you had a good time.0 -
Congratulations June, WOTY :T:T
Glad you had a good wedding anniversary maman, you can keep reminding OH for at least a week that he forgot and get extra attention :rotfl: I always forget oursenjoy the hog roast..
Feel really tired today, we didn't stay at the wedding too late but I drank alcohol (never drink usually) and I think it's tired me out for today :rotfl: not sure why I drank and it was extra syns I didn't need  I wasn't particularly counting syns yesterday but still... food was a small portion of fish and chips and there was a sweet table but we didn't go too mad.
Back on track today,
B - banana, alpen light(3) (running out the door shopping)
L - chicken salad sandwich(heb), mayo (1), pickles, Ferrero rocher (3.5)
T - pulled pork (2) sweet potato, salad, corn, coleslaw
S - crisps (4) milk (hea)Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Hello all - just a flyby...had WI yesterday...had decided that I would stop wearing the ridiculously light top that I wear for WI after my holidays as it's (a) see through!! and (b) way too big on me now...so decided to go to my post holiday WI with proper clothes on and take the hit...(ok still leggings but my top is one of my usual every day ones) so totally chuffed with a STS!!
Chuffed lol!
(in other news my mum has had her huge surgery done and is doing way better than expected....I've not seen her yet (she's in a specialist hospital 75 miles away) and planned to go up and see her tomorrow - but she may get out tomorrow so - time will tell.0
