Hi everyone,
Busy couple of days so not been posting but do read the email every morning
We won't talk about Thursdays lunch (Chippy fish & chips and dessert) as I thought I might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb - 36 SYNS!!! And raging indigestion...do you think that might learn me?
Moving swiftly onwards, yesterday was goodish, lots of fruit and back to horseriding after a few weeks off. Needless to say, lots of aches and pains :rotfl:
Todays menu
B Baked beans, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, bread (HEXB)
L Ryvita x 3 (4.5) Laughing cow extra light x 2 (2) smoked salmon, peppers, radishes. Plums, banana
D HB Beef (1)- Thank you Lois, it was divine - SW chips, cabbage
Milk (HEA), Tea maybe an Alpen bar ( 3?)
Tomorrow
B LF Sausage x 2 (2) Poached Egg, Toast HEB BBQ sauce (.5)
L No idea yet, maybe similar to today (no imagination)
D Either spag bol with loads of speed or SW Chicken roast dinner - just taken the makings of both out of the freezer...
Have a good rest of the weekend. Time for Strictly now:T0 -
Good to have you back, Pennies.
I have erased that awful performance from my memory, maman. And I was so scunnered I didn’t watch any other matches either, which is unusual for me. Just heard the flight back was delayed be 2/3 hours, so that’s just great ahead of playing Germany on Monday. Expect to lose that one, but now expect a real scudding. I used to like Gordon’s one liners when he was with you. Q – GCan you give me a quick word? A - velocity. I had a syns bank before but it wasn’t so effective. I am beginning to think the hypnotherapy tape is having an effect. I rarely hear it all through, but I have picked up a focus on 3 aspects: smaller portions, avoid eating between meals and say no to ‘fattening’ foods. Nothing wrong with that. I don’t understand how it works, but I’ve gone to the cupboard to seek out a snack and then just not bothered! Long may it continue! ETA congrats on making the Euros already!
Well done, durham (and good for you for keeping an eye on your goal, however long it took).
Syns bank: 59 ½
Saturday’s syns: a little tomato sauce on bacon butty (1) casserole (3), not had anything else. Supper will be Del Monte raspberry smoothie lolly (4)
Syns balance: 51 ½ OOOOOH! I could go mad tomorrow!
Sunday
Breakfast: hexb French toast with berries and maple syrup (1 syn)
Lunch: chicken & sweetcorn Mug Shot noodles, yogurt (still to buy), fruit
Dinner: gingered pork casserole, pasta, broccoli & cauliflower
Snacks (choose from): WW lemon slice (4 syns), hexa cheese & fruit, Walkers French Fries ((4 ½ syns)
Off to do next week’s meal plans.

Well, I have b****red my week up this evening. I have just eaten a MAGNUM ALMOND :mad
That's not that bad is it? I thought Magnums were 10 syns?
We sell Magnums and I've really had to steel myself against the temptation to have one, I know one would be the first on a slippery slope. I really wanted an espresso one but thankfully we've sold them all.

Making butternut and red pepper soup as well as campfire stew. Looking forward to warming food now back at work and on playground duty every day
I made butternut squash soup yesterday, usually I add carrots but didn't have any so I put red pepper in instead and it was so much nicer! Will do that again.

Lantanna will be outside your door with a bowl ready for BNS soup.;)This is the recipe that b-e-g posted.
Austrian Ham and Potato Hash - syn free on ee - serves 4 (or 2 greedy so and so's)
Frylight
1 onion, roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
4 celery stalks, roughly chopped
2 x 300g cans peeled new potatoes in water, drained and roughly chopped
340g can lean ham, roughly chopped
1 tsp caraway seeds
1 tsp sweet smoked paprika
2 carrots, coarsely grated
175mls chicken or veg stock (we used 150mls)
handfuly fresh flat leaf parsley finely chopped
Spray large frying pan with frylight and place over a medium heat. Add onion, garlic, celery and pots and stir-fry for 6-8 mins or until lightly browned.
Stir in the ham, caraway seeds, paprika, carrots and stock and cook for 6-8 mins or until the veg are tender and most of the stock has been absorbed.
Scatter over the parsley, stir well and serve immediately.
Top each portion with a poached or fried egg.
I tweaked it a bit. I added sliced mushrooms and used my own potatoes cubed and almost cooked with thinly sliced carrots. I used cumin instead of caraway and added 15g of chorizo as I only had a small tin of ham. Instead of serving it straight from the pan I put it in a dish and reheated in the oven. Then I served it with veg on the side instead of eggs as my DH doesn't eat them.
This is the recipe for Austrian Hash tie along with my comments on my tweaks. I'm not savvy enough to add it to the recipe thread.:o0 -
STS please Shala-not much body magic this week unfort but better than a gain I suppose :-)Debt free 2018

Morning everyone
Sorry I haven't had a chance to pop on to post but been extremely busy but ... I think we are getting everything ship-shape again - well maybe after today that is :rotfl:
Well done to all the losers and hugs to those who have had a gain.
Lovely to see you again CP :hello:
We had fish pie last night (the one with philly that someone posted through the week) and I must say that it was the most successful SW friendly fish pie we have had so far. So thank you to whoever posted it :T
We had trouble getting the 5% pork mince so I bought what I thought was 7% in Morries (turned out to be turkey). We fancied trying the Sweet and Sour Meatballs (courtesy of the twochubbycubs) but I dont think they will mind the substitution (they are two really funny guys but can be a little irreverent). I love their view on SW - slightly more light-hearted and certainly put things into perspective if you are in it for the long haul and are hoping to make SW a way of life. Just be warned if you are a sensitive little soul :rotfl:
Hoping to get bed stripped this morning (as soon as DH gets out of it) and get some chores done upstairs as things have been a little neglected over the last few weeks.
Main meal today - half price lamb shank from Lidl (£1.74 and 5 syns) with veggies.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Morning
I'll try and add that recipe to the front post maman, quite fancy trying it myself so it would be handy
BEG you've made me want lamb shanks now! :rotfl: I love lamb
Can I ask if anyone has tried pumpkin before please? I thought it might be a bit different to the BNS we keep having... Is it sweet or bitter?
So menu for today - EE
B - fruit & yogurt
L - poached eggs, toast (heb)
T - BBQ pork out magazine, sweet potato, salad
S - crisps(5) milk (hea)
OH is at work today so I might do a bit of batch cooking for lunches, it's the one area I struggle with when i'm at work...
Have a good one xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
I have been reprieved SHALA I have stayed the same. I did expect a gain and I know it's my own fault.
I will try a bit harder this week. It seems much more difficult the nearer you get I have 10 lb to lose. Do others find it the same as me ?:)
