hi, hope it's ok to add some information for the
puzzler.com threads regarding the new layout forum,
in the new layout (forum) which may be implemented
soon the ' title ' box doesn't show with the dates/
Magazine issue etc on the threads,
they just show the information given in the reply box,
so any one using the new layout can't see which
magazine name/issue number/end date the post is for
unless it's added in the reply box as well,
is there any way that this could be sorted please by the thread showing
the ' title ' boxes,
thanks if you can help.

Good to see that all the overwhelming feedback from a few weeks ago was listened to....
Not!
For a 'consumer' site you'd think that listening to your customers would be a given.0 -
It looks clean and fresh. But there is far too much white & blank space, everything kind of merges together with little distinction.0

A poll won't prove anything other than the people who like to complain are more likely to answer the poll! Most people only shout when they are unhappy. There was a poll last time that got up to about 100 people saying they hated the new design. That's hardly a majority out of the tens of thousands of registered users, most of whom will carry on regardless.
It's a moot argument anyway seeing as those that don't like it can keep the old version. Just shows that some people like to complain for the sake of complaining!
Absolute utter rubbish. You are only saying this because almost NINETY percent of almost 140 people have said they do NOT want the forum to change, and you have been proved wrong. You would have said what a good idea the poll was, and how it proves people want change if only a few hundred had voted, and it had been the answer YOU wanted!

There is an option for people to say YES, they DO want the forum to change, but hardly anyone has put that because most people don't want the forum to change.
And most of the 'tens of thousands' of people you mention (if indeed that many post on here regularly which I seriously doubt!) probably don't even LOOK at 'discussion time.' And even if they did, and 20,000 people voted: I would bet that the vast majority would STILL say no to changing the forum.
And I would probably win that bet.
You were wrong: just admit it and move on.cooeeeeeeeee :j :wave:0 -

What a sore loser you are 'lovinituk.'
You're wrong.
Fact.
Shame you aren't big enough to admit it.
As I said your response on here would have been TOTALLY DIFFERENT if the poll had gone in YOUR FAVOUR, even if there HAD only been a couple of hundred voting.
Like I said, what a sore loser you are.cooeeeeeeeee :j :wave:0 -

Most of the 'registered users' have either posted zero, once or two times only.
Many (most?) have not had any activity on the site for years.
The forum is kept 'alive' by a relatively small number of regular posters (probably in the hundreds). If it lost them - and a number have declared that they cannot/won't use the 'new' version - then this place will likely become an archive, rather than an active forum. And even if they did, and 20,000 people voted: I would bet that the vast majority would STILL say no to changing the forum.
The reactions of those people has essentially mirrored what can be seen on DT, the Arms, and here.0 -

I noticed today thet the forum doesn't kick you out if you have been inactive for over half an hour.
I was a way for about 2 hours and was still logged in when I came back.0 -
I haven't read the rest if the topic, but please PLEASE get rid of that horrible green theme look you have, it reminds me of the old fashioned bathrooms!!, very outdated and definitely needs updating.0
