There is something about previous 3 months*This offer is not available to existing customers with a Co-operative Bank or smile current account who pay in on average £800 or more per month over the three months prior to 1 February 2014, or since the account was opened, if that is a shorter period.
Though not sure why michaels asked since I can't see anyone having posted that they had done this and still got accepted.0 -
I have transferred £800 into this account. My question is: does the account have to have a balance of £800 for the entire 45 day period, or can it be withdrawn? Would it be acceptable to withdraw the £800 and put it back in on the 19/4?0

My £100 is showing this morning. The switch had completed on February 21.
I am still waiting for them to ask me which charity I would like the promised £25 to go to.0 -
I applied online, but unlike my NatWest application the other month, it is not yet complete as I have had a letter saying I need to send proof of Identification and where I live.
Seems like hassle does this one, especially as I have just moved, so not got any recent utility bills yet, apart from letter from n power saying welcome
Maybe I should have gone straight for the Halifax switch.
Am I right in thinking I have to ring them when I am switching too, or can I do it in the branch, or just online?0 -

I'd expect the Npower welcome letter would be fine.
And yes you need to call to switch. (I'm not sure if there's a branch option, though know you can't do it online)0 -

There's a pattern here (with a sample size of 3)
My switch completed on 28th February, which would hopefully indicate the £100 is due next Thursday (i.e. The fifth Thursday after your switch completion date).
There has been no mention of nominating a charity throughout the process though.0 -
Hi Jonny2510,
Yes I see a pattern emerging too and I also had 28th Feb switch date. Let's hope our theory is correct
I haven't heard a thing about nominating a charity either.0 -
True to what it says on their website, there is information in the switching letter about the charitable donation. In case you have lost your switching letter:..........We will then pay £100 into the above Co-operative Bank current account on or before 45 days from your switch date. From this date you will also have an opportunity to select one of our chosen charities to receive a £25 donation from us by visiting co-operativebank.co.uk/charitychoice. We will make the charity payment before 31 December 2014
Anyone and everyone can go to that URL. It is a crude surveymonkey page and anyone can cast their vote on it. There is no link to my account or myself or my switch date or anything. Anyone who knows anything about cookies can vote as often as they like. I have already voted twice on a PC and on an iPad.
Not sure I have the energy to try and find out whether they will really make the payments.0 -
Thanks for the info Innovate0
