Co-op £100 switch incentive is back

I have now received a letter through the post saying they need more information from me. Last 3 wage slips and last 3 bank statements.
This is on top of me going into branch and giving them my dvla, and proof of where I live.
This seems hassle to me, especially as I have to ring them afterwards and they may not even give me 100 pound after it all.
I might just go straight to halifax with the hope it will be easier to switch.0 -
£100 credited today, dated today (oddly since it's a Sunday). Switch completed 25/2. Happy days!0

To answer my own question I heard from the Co-Op on Saturday. It was my debit card. So I assume I've been accepted. :rolleyes:0

Can you switch from Smile to Coop and get the £100?0

I applied for the Coop account on 15 March. I got a letter asking me to bring two forms of ID to a branch on 22 March. I took my ID documents to a local branch on 25 March. Since then, nothing has happened as of yet. I wonder whether it is supposed to take this long. What is their 7-day guarantee? Is the guarantee only to do once the switch actually takes place?
In the mean time, I opened my third Lloyds Vantage account, and everything came so quickly.0 -

Whilst Direct Debit did show up in online banking following switch from Nationwide B.S
Letter from Coop Bank today stating due to technical issue there has been a problem transferring 1 of my Direct Debits, which happens to be a pay monthly contract.
Says have credited me with 15.00 per unpaid Direct Debit - it is at least 1 month and, hopefully will be two months.
Also sent letter to forward to pay monthly provider to ensure that my standing with company and/or credit rating is not adversely affected..
Any additional costs incurred they will refund upon receipt of proof.0 -
One of my DDs got cancelled as a result of the switch from Nationwide to the Coop. That was a 50% failure rate as there were precisely 2 DDs to transfer.
Since it's only a DD to my own Tesco account which nobody will miss and that I can easily re-instate if I need it, I did not follow up to find out why this DD got cancelled. If I wanted to switch important DDs, I would always do those myself since I just don't trust those switcher services.
I had also set up a Standing Order from another of my Nationwide accounts into the one that got switched to the Coop. This switch went without a hitch - Nationwide are now sending the SO to the Coop, without me having to do anything. I was, however, never notified by Nationwide that the recipient of my SO now had a different sort code and account number. I doubt their switching system is sophisticated enough to figure out that the SO was to one of my own other accounts. May be they will eventually write to me before the 12 months redirection period is up.0 -

Yeah one of my Tesco ones failed too...I didn't care like you but was surprised that the co-op wrote to me, identified the problem and paid 15GBP in compensation. Perhaps you will get a letter soon?0 -
Very nice, the £15, may be they'll think of me too. I won't be too fussed if they don't as the cancellation hasn't done me any harm.0
