Also, I mentioned to the advisor at the job centre that I often see jobs I can't apply for as there's no apply button, even when there are no alternative application instructions in the job advert. He explained that some employers don't fill out the form properly when they upload the advert and don't tick the box to allow the apply button to appear. Such a great system they have...

Al jobs before going live should be checked I feel then deleted if not appropriate etc
Agreed. I also informed the advisor of the problems I'd had with the site, how it hasn't recorded my 'activity history' since the 15th March. He told me there are a lot of problems with the site (oh really, never would have guessed) and that it goes down often. Five minutes later he's telling me if there's no record on there but I'm claiming to have done searches, then there's a doubt and that can cause problems. Didn't offer a solution other than to write everything down, which I do anyway, but surely they could say I'm lying if they wanted to?!
Oh and he said "are you sure you're signing into the site?" How else would I be checking my inaccurate activity history? -__-

How can the jobcentre allow kleenze to advertise their so called jobs there? they cannot guarantee NMW for all the hours you need to put in trudging the street posting brochures and alienating neighbours people in general. I know it's self employed but really do people actually spend money using the brochures?
By using this get out of jail free clause:
"The employer assures us (JCP) that on target earnings are equivalent to or will exceed the NMW" or words to that effect.
I have seen this with many a 'self employment' vacancy opp.
I have done Betterware in the past. Never again. Bagging up, delivering and collecting 250 or so catalogues is no picnic I can tell you. Takes ages for what is not a really large figure. The hard slog is doing it ALL ON FOOT as I did! What makes it even worse id the little people actually DO buy whilst you earn just 20p in the pound. That was the rate when I did it. As I said, never again!0 -
My point is what you have said is wrong!
You said Monster ARE AN AGENCY!!
Now you are agreeing they are JUST a website!?
Please tell me HOW they lose out for jobs advertised by companies on the UJM website if you as a candidate go direct to the company via their website and not apply via the UJM site?
That is what you have said and I have not confused anyone at all. You have said twice that Monster are an agency!
You are the one confused as a job board is far from being an agency
The Monster team who run Monster the site have been employed to run the UJM site, that's all

Oh I can read and they still are not an agency nor do they lose anything by people not applying on the UJM site!

Monster.com is a gateway to include various advertising agencies, that provide jobs to people.
It is also the gateway of choice that the DSS use to advertise their jobs. Unfortunatly, the switch, seems to not include the Employer, the wages payed, or, contact details.0 -

LOL We all know that monster are JUST a website or gateway as you call it NOT an AGENCY as you have stated here many times!!!
Also jobs on Monster for COMPANIES not just agencies.
There are LOTS of jobs posted with the employers name, contacts and salary
I am still wondering how Monster lose out?? Hmmmmm
They lose nothing as the Gov pay them to run the site UJM that's all. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

One years time...."The Universal Job Match site has been a huge success with over 4 million people registering in the last year. Well worth the tens of millions of pounds we have invested in its conception." Ian Duncan Smith
Failing to mention that the majority have been forced to register using threats of benefit sanctions.0
