Hi! I know this thread is active and I want to just log in quickly to say hello and that I hope you're having a good day. The response I had the other day was lovely and really lifted my spirits.

However, I'm feeling a bit reluctant to read the posts that have been written since then as I'm scared one or two may have come along and posted something nasty and I couldn't cope with that, not today.

Well, I've been feeling really bad the last few hours. I've cried for the first time in ......about 7 years. I've stopped now though and am going to have a good rest of the day - sod it!!

I've had a beer or two as I do every day but I've lived in auto pilot mode and ignored my true feelings for so long that maybe it helped me cry and I needed it (Maybe! - not a very pleasent way to pass the time, let alone today)

So I've no more tears now and am watching Gordon Ramsey on CH4, how chaotic!! He's got such a different scenario going on than I have here.

I''ll put the turkey leg in the oven shortly, unfortunately I ended up eating all the bubble and squeak I prepared so I'll have to peel some spuds. It's not sunny today and I know I would feel worse if it was, so I'm happy about that.

I WILL read the thread and hope you understand why I can't do it now.

My love to all you and yours and Have a Blast today! - wherever you are and, no matter how hard it is, specially if you feel alone. xxxxxxxxxx

Hello and Merry Christmas Boots and all other solo-ers today!

I did have somewhere to go today, but circumstances and weather have conspired to make staying home alone the better option.

Wondering where you are, Boots? (-am also an ex-pat* at the moment).

Hope everyone alone can make the most of being able to please ourselves today! :D

I'm not alone, but feel it, Christmas is hard every year but it will soon pass and my favourite time of year, spring time, will be here :)
With Sparkles! :happylove And Shiny Things!
  • Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

My friend stopped in for Christmas breakfast and I now have the rest of the day completely to myself which I'm quite looking forward to! Relaxing on the sofa with my feet up, reading, Christmas television, a few glasses of baileys, won't need to do any cooking as plenty of gammon and nibbles in the fridge. Feeling quite lazy but very content.

I hope you don't feel too alone Boots and know that many people reading this thread will be thinking of you and sending you kind Christmas wishes. And absolutely nothing wrong with having a good cry - the bodys way of releasing all those emotions. Wishing you a lovely relaxing evening xxxx

So I have logged in again and read the thread, thanks for all you messages.

I've noticed the threads above me and can honestly say that if people are talking about trying for a baby, discussing surfaces, hating their mothers or are worried about ghosts i am rest assured that I'm not up there with the rest of them and that, in the grander scheme of things, my worries are minute in comparison.

    1. There are no ghosts, or spirits or angels
    2. don't worry too much about coffee marks, theres nothing that cannot be fixed.
    3. Don't worry too much about not being able to procreate, it's nature and you can adopt nowadays.
    4. Forgive your Mothers
& 5. NEVER let yourself be intimidated by your neighbours. Do all you can to nip it in the bud and call on help with the authorities, once that fails, cause it will, treat them like they've been treating you, only worse.

I have just read your post on the other thread in response to mine and others posts and thought might like to as well.

    My posts-

Your reply ( the last paragraph is just .....)-

I find it unbelievable you have started a thread about being alone, but think it is ok to belittle posts on another thread.

EDIT TO ADD THE NEW SARCASTIC REPLY-

The fact that you would include all the subjects of those posts altogether when some are very serious and one is about coffee marks is pretty strange I have to say.:rotfl:

Not surprised you are alone with the posts you have made on the other thread, you made your bed you can lie in it the saying goes.
