New Lloyds Vantage current account

until bright sparks like us on here exploited that in order to get 4% over many accounts. You are limited to three account maximum now, whereas some of us with legacy accounts have 10 of them!
In the legacy days what sort of difference in interest rates existed between that of those accounts and your typical Lloyd's one/three year say fixed TDs?0 -
Call them again, you might get someone else
Its ok, I walk past my local branch on my way to get my lunch. I'll pop in tomorrow. Its more the hassle of having to hang on the phone to argue with someone about the T&C's of a bank account! There is nothing in the terms about historical credits just the fact you need to pay in £1k a month to get the top tier'd rate.You are correct. The fact that you haven't credited 1k in any month thus far is not a reason to prevent/bar you from having the 4% rate applied.
Thanks Steve thats basically all I was after - the fact that I had missed something in the small print. My account presently has "vantage" on it yet I dont pay in any money at all.0 -

Yes, there's nothing in the small print that relates to historical account balances. So the person you spoke to last at LTSB is ill-advised.0 -
Anyone know if it will work to have two DDs set up from the same Vantage account to just ONE Tesco Internet Saver?0
-
You need two DDs from each Vantage account. I set up one DD transfer from each Vantage 4% account to my two Tesco accounts.
You might be able to set up two seperate DD from each Vantage to the same Tesco account?
I have it set up as
Vantage 1 DD --> Tesco 1
Vantage 2 DD --> Tesco 1
Vantage 3 DD --> Tesco 1
Vantage 1 DD --> Tesco 2
Vantage 2 DD --> Tesco 2
Vantage 3 DD --> Tesco 2
Hence 2 DD's on each Vantage account.0 -
One account should suffice for most individuals....
So I have a dedicated account for my salary, then two for regular payments (was one, but Lloyds tempted me with their 4% offer), then one for ATM withdrawals and one to give out to people to make payments to me.
Thats five in total. I don't think its too many.
Oh, and one to use as a switching account should some bank come up with a nice offer for people who switch their account.0 -

After the recent Natwest/RBS debacle, the benefits of having more than one current account, at different financial institutions, should be obvious for everyone.
But that is not necessarily the reason why people love to have as many Lloyds Vantage accounts as possible. Presently, it is the best place to keep £18K (or more, if you can beat the system ;-)) of cash with instant access in.0 -

The odd thing is that there's nothing in the terms that limits this to only 3 account! I think it's another of LTSB's staff's flights of fancy. The very fact that you are currently limited to 3 accounts makes this unwritten rule self-imposing.0 -
It does say "Customers are limited to a total of 3 Vantage Accounts." on http://www.lloydstsb.com/current_accounts/vantage4.asp
So it is written down, though maybe not in the T&C0 -
