Well done kjm - how much to you have to go to target?
Forgot to say earlier that when I went onto SW online this morning to log my WI I saw the 'lend a hand' thing that was mentioned on here recently. Haven't heard anything about it in class (unless it was mentioned last week when I was away) so was interested to read it- flippin' eck, how patronising! Fair enough, the SW plan is great and has been a godsend to some people who haven't been successful with any other diet but things like "Until we can reach them, American people will not realise there is a way to take control and transform their lives – for good" is just ridiculous. Do they think Americans live in a cave rather than the home of 1001 different diets?! I appreciate the sentiment and yes it is great to want to help people but a marketing ploy thinly disguised under some deeply condescending remarks isn't going to cut it for me I'm afraid!
Rant over!
1 stone 2 lbs to target so I have no idea why it has slowed down so much. This week I have hardly eaten because of tooth work that I had done but I really feel like my body has reached a point that it is happy with and it doesn't want me to lose any more weight! I will get there eventually.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
When is a free lunch not a free lunch? When it's about 25 syns lol!
A new salad bar just opened up by my work and was giving away vouchers for a free lunch. I sussed out the menu before hand and decided on a falafel pot which I though would be about 5 syns. Got there, handed over my voucher to the guy on the door, got a goody bag, went to order my falafel but they'd sold out. Choice of greek salad or chicken chipolte salad. Don't like olives so went for chicken chipolte, complete with tortilla chips, avacado and cheese . Reckon it was about 17 syns, then had the popchips (6 syns) and mini eat bar (4.5 syns) from the goody bag. Was om nom nom but not feeling confident about weigh in tomorrow, I have been "picking" at stuff a lot this week, all low syn, but not convinced I haven't gone over a few times. Oh well, time will tell. Hope everyone else is feeling a bit more virtuous.

Morning all,
Also means I've passed the 50lb mark :j
thats so amazing!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::A
courgette pasta bake is in a SW mag from 3 ago i think?
2 courgettes
200g tin sweetcorn
4 tomatoes
2 onions (recipe said red i use white)
500g pasta
Tub fat free cottage cheese
2 eggs
Grate courgettes, thinly slice the onion and add the sweetcorn. Cook pasta for 4 mins, then add the courgettes onion and sweetcorn and cook for a further 3 minutes (this is my simplified version after cooking it loads)
Drain and rinse with cold water. Drain water. Put in large bowl - add 4 chopped tomatoes, pasta, courg, onion and sweetcorn. Whizz up tub cottage cheese with two eggs and loads salt and pepper. Add to the mix
Put in dishes, top with cheese and bake for 20 mins.
ive slightly adjusted the pasta quantity - thats 4 servings. Two me size and two 6ft very hungry boyfriend size:eek::D. We cook two for ten mins without cheese, remove and refridgerate. These can have cheese added and baked in oven couple of days later.
The ones we are eating there and then - cheese em and cook for 20 mins. The recipe says to mix cheese through and top with cheese but i just top it in quite a shallow dish. Last night i added chunks of smoked gammon to mine and it was very tasty. Mix of mozerella and low fat cheddar (half of each) is the best cheese combination.
very filling and very satisfying. OH loves it and can't eat it enough!!!!A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Thanks - I know I look like I've lost weight and certainly feel that I have, but nowhere near that much IYSWIM!
That's the recipe I was planning on doing tonight too, well an adaptation of it. I love that it's so cheesy, proper comfort food on miserable days like thisI think I'll substitute the tomato and sweetcorn for peppers and mushrooms, and usually use quark instead of CC but will see what's in the fridge. Definitely agree with the mozz/cheddar combo although I put half the mozz in and half on the top- drooling just thinking about it!

We used to have a man who came and sold them at group and I did like them. Now I buy Sainsbury's Be Good to Yourself Extra Lean Pork Cumberland Sausages, 8 pack, chilled, 57g each and they're only half a syn each! Yummy!
I've been quite well on track, although did eat a packet of crisps late last night.
Today I had scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast. Too busy for lunch, was going to eat a banana but it's probably too late now. I'm planning a mini roast dinner for later with some pork chops, roasties, roast parsnips, cabbage and carrots. Syns in the gravy, but that's all.0 -
Well done all you losers and welcome in to the newbies. I haven't posted for a while but do read up every day.
Haven't been doing too well recently, gained last two weeks. It all started with the break through * which finally finished just in time for the real * to start . So have had a big attack of the * fairies who have bombarded me with chocolate and junk as well as forcing me to eat chinese on Saturday
. Had spent the afternoon watching son play rugby in the sunshine and as it was his 1st game since coming out of 'retirement' and he had a stonker of a game we celebrated with chinese. I was also given a huge bar of chocolate by a work colleague for doing all the techie bit on the comp for her. I was soooo good and broke it all up and put it in the freezer then over the week I stuffed my stupid face with most of it . There is still a tub full in the freezer but since * ended I have lost the urge to binge :T.
Sorry mammoth post alert...........
I have also given in and bought the Hairy Dieters book [£4.99 Book people] and am looking forward to cooking some of their wonderful recipes which can be made sw friendlier by swapping the oil for frylight
Also hubby has gone homemade soup mad, today we had roasted butternut squash, roasted beetroot, roasted onion to which was added bulger wheat [thickened so much you could stand a spoon in it :rotfl:] also added mushrooms, stock and garamasala. It was lush. As we speak pumpkin is roasting ready for spicy curried pumpkin soup. So this week I will mostly be eating SOUP :rotfl:.
Not holding out much hope for a loss this week as it all has a knock on effect this eating junk stuff.
Sorry for the mammoth post, I am a binge poster as well as a binge eater
Keep the faith all x x xIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Lost 6 today, which I was utterly amazed at. I'm now back on track following my big gain last week.
Feeling quite motivated, got a big shop being delivered tonight and a beef/chicken casserole in the slow cooker. This is just a packet of beef casserole mix from asda for £2 and i think it's pretty much free if you don't use the packet sauce that is included! I've just added passata and 2 oxo cubes. Looking forward to itBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

This sounds really yummy... but i'm a bit wary of the egg/quark type mix after making a lasagne that ended up basically having a omlette on the top which was gross! Please tell me it doesn't end up like that so I can attempt itBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
