I changed form o2 LLU to post office broadband last year and internet was down for less than a hour.
Not had any probs with broadband but the zyxel router supplied kept dropping wifi transmission, so changed for another still same so ended up buying a buffalo and had no probs since.
Hope this helps0 -
Well, this is day 3 now, and I haven't even had a phone message or text
From their site:
Day
0 = Your order is completed.
1-2 = We'll check your order and send you confirmation by email or text message.
2-3 = You'll receive your "Welcome Pack" in the post.
4-5 = You'll get your payment letter, confirming chosen payment letter.
14 = Your service will start.
How long does it take to do a credit check, I'm convinced I'm gonna fail that first hurdle now hence the eery silence from their end
Been with BT for 12 years, never missed a payment ever. Yet this is real bad timing with me simply trying to save money and switch to the P.O. now I'm on a DMP, even though I have budgeted like £20 a month to pay for the quarterly PO bill.0 -
Ring and ask them????0

That's ok - my suggestion was because you seemed stressed about the issue, and had posted a question here that no-one but the post office can answer:Rochdale_Guy wrote:How long does it take to do a credit check, I'm convinced I'm gonna fail that first hurdle now hence the eery silence from their end0

Sorry Quentin, not your fault
And I am stressed.0 -
Well, I know today is Good Friday, but it's now 7 days since I signed up to switch to the Post Office and haven't had any letter, email or text message
That can only mean bad news and I failed the credit check.
What's the longest anyone else waited that switched before getting your "acceptance" please?.0 -
Did you ring P.O. and ask? Did you sign up to pay by DD and provide all the relevant details, if so, could check if your bank has received the DD instruction.0

Aaaaaarrrrgh! :wall:
The total bunch of incompetent, useless, clueless fcukwits had cancelled my order, said it had gone through twice, then said we can place a new order but you won't get the £50 credit, despite some dimwit reassuring me the day after I ordered online that I had made the order in time before the 31st March deadline.
After being on hold and to two different people, they are adamant they will not credit me with the £50 if I want to place a new order.
AM I STUPID? DO I HAVE MUG STAMPED ON MY FOREHEAD?
Useless, timewasting company, should be shut down completely. Why would I want to sign up again and lose the £50 credit I was entitled to receive anyway?
I asked the customer service persons name, like a first name is gonna get me anyway, then asked for a letter from them stating the order was cancelled, and said I'm contacting Ofcom.....
They even had the cheek to suggest I might have gone back in an cancelled the order myself? WHY? How?
Unbe-fcuking-lievable.
Yes, I am MAD
Stay clear of the Post Office for anything.
I won't even buy my stamps from them now.
Ruined my weekend, thanks very much
P.S. How do I contact Ofcom btw?.0 -
Sorry, but I have to laugh.0
