Well half the days gone and managed to spend some great very MSE time with little one.

Out of bed at 8 and planting trees in a local community drive, then just taken dogs for a walk and dragged kid along so he's cream crackered! Off to do the weekly shop and put my feet up!

Jame's mum - Strangely I found a lot of people I spoke this year haven't bothered so I think its a sign of the times. Anyway why spend money to show how much you love each other.

:grouphug:Sending you hugs J-M. My family did the exact same thing for my birthday...it hurts. Things is, they make me feel special for the other 364 days a year, so we are lucky in other ways! Now I have got to the point where I buy tickets for something I love on my bday or go out for lunch - give myself a little pressie. Does that sound daft? Your online friends think you are FAB and wish you all the best x :) Now lets get back to Moneysaving girl!!! :T

Its such a beautiful day outside I'm struggling to stay in & do something constructive towards my debts! So I'll have to keep coming in & ebaying little bits once in a while. Have some items ending around 5 so will have to package that up tonight.

And I had a thought - the reason it looked like my debt had gone dowm tho I fell of the debt busting wagon, is because I included the interest payments to the end of the yr the first time :( i'm changing mine so that the difference is actually what i have left to pay, so recorded paid will be less than actual paid cos of interest. Not sure if that makes sense but ig does to me!

    Off to ebay....

Hey guys, my goodness was an absolutely spectacular day! Lovely sunshine all weekend. All my work colleagues had arranged to climb to Darwen Tower (big hill!) today so we set off a midday and had a punishing 2hr climb in the sweltering heat, spent an hour in a gorgeous pub afterwards then I came back, had something to eat and went running. After that I cleaned both mine and my dads cars and have only just eaten! My chest was definitely playing up today but I'm proud that I got to the top of that bl00dy big hill in 20degs heat with a chest infection! I hope these antibiotics kick in soon.

No debt busting to report as I don't get paid until Friday, I am soooooooo looking forward to updating my total.

Keep going everyone, I know this is a really hard time to keep positive and motivated but we are exactly 9months until Christmas day, that's NOTHING!!!!!

Well done Jemma :) I'm sure your chest will be happier for having got lots of fresh air into them.

I wasted my lovely day by sleeping oops, firstly on the coach back from Cardiff, then for 3hrs when I got home, tsk! tsk! I know. No debt busting today, but I only spent £8 taxi, £10 drinks, £10 food for this weekend, which given that I expected to pay more for a night out I was quite impressed :)

I've been taking on more challenges this week and one that I've found is helping me, is to pay myself weekly. At the moment I'm paying myself £50 a week for food (exc. veg box), and play. So that means out of the £50 for this week I have £22 leftover until I get paid again on Tuesday. I know someone else mentioned the envelope system before, it's a bit like that :)

This weeks mini challenge: Weekly pay saves the day
As most people get paid this week (or have just been paid), divide up your monthly allowance into 5 amounts. Set aside 4 weeks worth, these are not to be used this week. Set a day when you will get paid your weekly allowance, and then try to only use that amount to get you through the week. Anything leftover can go towards next week, or saved, or towards debt :)

To divide up your monthly allowance....take your pay, deduct direct debits, standing orders, and bills from the amount. Then anything remaining is your monthly allowance. This gets divided by 5 (to compensate for any months where there is 5 weeks, so 4 week months you will get spare cash ;) )
