Looking forward to double whammy of payday and school holidays next friday. Hope to go to 40% paid off even though I still need to pay for boiler repair, family holidays and some DIY.

Awwwww Miss Information, that's fantastic!!! :j:j:j I remember when before I started this challenge I was always up to my OD limits (£2000 over 3 accounts), up to my limits on credit cards (an obscene amount...:o) and the feeling when I got rid of my last OD was immense. I now stay in credit all throughout the month and it's just incredible when I think back to how it used to be. Well done hun, I'm really proud of you :A
Today I'm going to meet a friend for lunch in a beer garden (if there's room!) and have a good catch up. I just have to tell you though, I am a nightmare with plants, I kill them straight away...however...last week on Monther's Day I took my mum and grandma to a garden centre and spent some of my monthly allowance on some plants. I bought some strawberries, tulips, red peppers and bluebells. So far NONE have died and even better is that I opened my curtains this morning and my tuplips are in full bloom!!!!I'm so impressed with myself!!! I think I've got delusions of grandeur though as I started looking outside into our back garden and thought of all the wonderful things I could do to it... Steady on Jemma! :rotfl:
Anyway, before I go to meet my friend I'm going to do some updating so we can see all your lovely totals and also see if we've managed to smash the £300,000 barrier yet!

So, today I'll be making a payment to CC, then withdrawing the rest that is left over in cash for spending this month. Hopefully that will really limit use of the debit card, so that I'll be in credit again next month too!
Going to make my payments, then will update my total. Was just too excited about being in credit and had to tell someone!!
Fantastc news Miss Information. I too feel the same, don't know how I survived without this site. Always overdrawn every month too.[SIZE=2]SPC4 #1395 Aug 11 £135.75/£150

Great to hear from you again and being over 30% is a superb achievement! Give yourself a massive pat on the back!!! :TSuperheavy wrote: »Great news Jemma, in the current climate a secure job is nothing to be sniffed at, especially with what you're working to pay off. Loads of people, me included, just treat most appraisals as a box ticking exercise, but in this case it sounds like you were surprised with how highly they thought of you? You may not have paid off all your debt yet, but you're way ahead of some of us!
I think until you be honest in these meetings then you rarely get to find out what people actually think of you. I recently asked for a transfer back to my old job (as the person I was meant to replace has charmingly decided not to leave!) and I was expecting a nice to work with you cheerio kind of response, but they've gone out of their way to try and swap things around, and even though the other person is still there and I'm doing half a job, I may stick around for a little longer.
I'll update my totals later on, got some freelancing money in and bonus payday, so might be edging forward.
I once went into my appraisal with my old boss a couple of years ago and I went in expecting the worst but ending up walking out 2hrs later in shock. I didn't think he had a very high opinion of me as he was always pushing me and nit-picking all the time. Turns out he was testing me in his way and couldn't compliment me enough! I normally have a very good relationship with my current boss but recently I felt it was being sabotaged by another manager. Yesterday was great as we got a lot of things out in the open and all I can say on an open forum is that my job is secure and he wants to develop me further so I can go all the way (couldn't think how to re-word that so it doesn't sound so rude! - although we did have my appraisal at the Premier Inn :rotfl: in the pub though guys I assure you!)
You're doing so well Superheavy, glad they have recognised what an asset you are :j:j:j xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Catmort, don't regret it... it will be an amazing trip!
I'm waiting to hear from work after letting them the outcome of my appointment. Trying to decide whether to just quit and get another job or what. Potentially it could be another 6 months before I can fly, depending on dates of operations and not sure it's sustainable. It was never a forever job, but I've been there 5 years and having the decision moreorless taken out of your control is unfair!
How are you doing Psycho? I know you've had a lot to deal with recently but you are always on here with a virtual smile. :A If they have to terminate on medical grounds then would you get redundancy? If you just quit then you wouldn't get anything I'm assuming, although if you've already run out of sick pay and are now on SSP then it might be better for you to actually cut and run and get a full paying job again...? xxxSuperheavy wrote: »Glad things are going well for you, and may go even better, *fingers crossed* Jemma, and catmort, I think that you should go see your mum, debt is not necessarily a bad thing. If you're not paying any more on it and it means you get to see your mum, then it sounds worthwhile to me.
Here's my update, and I'm hoping to get over 30% by the end of the month:

You are soooooooo close to 30%, just £11.60!!!!!!!!! :jmumof3plusoh wrote: »This is my 2nd payment and I am not sure if I have updated correctly.

Nah you didn't mess it up hun, don't worry. Oh and if anyone is wondering if I've updated their totals then just click on who's thanked you.
