Here are the weekend updates to the ISAs list on the first page.

Cheshire Building Society have launched the second issue of their 18 month Fixed Rate ISA, paying an improved rate of 3.70%. They have also increased the rate paid on their variable rate Direct Cash ISA, to 3.16%.

Barnsley, Chelsea and Yorkshire building societies have increased the rates paid on their fixed rate ISAs (maturing on 31/08/2013), to 3.25% (w.e.f. 05/03/2012).

    Have a good weekend everyone.

    Thanks Kazza,

There is no logic to this thread not being a sticky on the board, no sense at all.

Thank you for all your sterling work in keeping us up to date, you're a star! :A:beer::D

    All the best,

    I think it's MSE politics.

MSE Dan has a discussion thread on cash ISAs which, while interesting, is not directed at quickly finding best buys. Then there is the ISA page on the main site which this thread is seen as being in direct competition with.

MSE wants the glory for its editorial staff but the rest of us soon find out which is most informative.

Keep up the good work Kazza, with our blessing. :T.

So are the new Halifax ISAs ...

But their rates aren't worth linking to ...

    Edit:
    Oh, well ...

(I suppose the 2-year Fixed at 3.7% just about makes the 'reasonable' grade, but that's been available since February.)

I think site policy is only to make discussion threads sticky that specifically relate to a site article. It's a defensive tactic which I understand and agree with, as only full articles explains all the elements of the topic, in this case Cash ISA accounts and transferring existing ISAs. Since the editorial team don't edit this thread, Kazza does, there is the risk of information getting out-dated if Kazza is unable to maintain it for whatever reason. Having said that, in terms of the range of product types this thread beats the main article hands down, but remember the article has to balance readability with breadth of detail.

I think most people are happy 'Subscribing' to the thread in order to keep abreast of developments.

Of course we are all very grateful for Kazza's hard work!

    Just looking at this:

ING Direct Cash ISA - 3.00%
Rate guarantee? Yes, current rate guaranteed for 12 months. Rate effective from: 19/08/2011.

Does that mean that 3% is guaranteed until 19/08/2012 or until 12 months from account opening?

I have added further information on the three new Santander ISAs on to the ISAs list on the first page.

They include the Santander Direct ISA paying 3.30%. The minimum opening deposit is £2,500 (though the account balance can fall below £2,500 and still qualify for the bonus rate). It accepts transfers in. There is a 2.80% bonus for the first 12 months.

The Santander one year fixed rate ISA, paying 3.50%. It also accepts transfers in. The rate is fixed until 01/05/2013.

Finally, the Santander two year fixed rate Major ISA, paying 4.00%, which also accepts transfers in. The rate is fixed until 01/05/2014.

I will be amending the Halifax ISA rates shortly.

The only downside of the Santander ISA I can see is that the May maturity rate may fall outside the time when the 'best buy' ISAs are available to move it into.

My Santander ISA from last year matured on Friday so I will probably move that to the new 2 year one then top it up in April.

After 3 months that will also let me qualify for their Zero current account as well.
