    Hijack this:

this a safe site to download the program from:
    http://majorgeeks.com/download3155.html

this is where you paste the logfile:
    http://www.hijackthis.de/

    HTH

No point in pasting the hijackthis logfile there unless you know what to do with the results, best to post it here so advice can be given.

    I'd agree.

Those auto-analyzers are prone to false positives. The very first log I just searched for on here to analyze as an example outlines the problem perfectly.

    O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [Launcher] C:\Program Files\Dell DataSafe Local Backup\Components\Scheduler\Launcher.exe
Must be fixed! Spyware component related to DownloadWare and found in Program FilesKFH

The file is part of Dell's DataSafe and is not spyware.

You should have someone advise you who can interpret the logs without relying on auto-analyzers.

I posted the links up so that VLT could downland hijack this using a safe and free site.
There are a lot of people who type Hijack this into the net and end up with virus off a dodgy site. I actually planned to come back on here with advice but my internet went down. so sorry if it appears that i had posted and ran.

If post your log file in the hijack website It will up a with a list of programs and with notes saying whether they safe or not.
With the unsafe ones you can go through yours and get rid of any dodgy programs.

My partner uses it to fix computers.
But then i would also downland spybot and spyware blaster to scan for worms, trojan horses and malware.

Computer slow to load up web pages and dropping connection, thought it was unsecured wireless but sorted that.

Did you make sure your neighbours weren't using the same wireless channels?
I've recently gotten royally sick of my neighbours and their Virgin Superhubs, as for some reason (known bug) they autoselect wifi channels that are in use, rather than channels that are free.... My other neighbours don't leave their routers on (13 wifi networks locally), so several times a day I was having to alter my wifi settings

After 6 months of this non-sense I eventually turned my wireless off, ran some cat5e cable across the house and got a redundant Cisco 1Gb (1000BASE-T) network switch from work = No more drop outs and lightening fast network transfer speeds

    WiFi = Over sold

Even people with PC's right next to their routers, they still use wireless!!

    Please re-read the advice -

(Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

Youve downloaded the filehippo update program instead

Ive been trying to tell them this for a few years now but they still insist on giving that advice out to people who know very little about computers. A recipe for disaster methinks
