Sofababe....read my post a few back (long one!) about stalling....I'm sure theres a link in there that explains. As I understand it-in a nutshell your fat cells hold water initially (after the 6 pound water loss) as your body 'accepts' it burns fat...at some stage from wk 4-8 your body will drop this water. Are you a member of a gym? Mine has a body fat/water analyser. When i stalled a personal trainer showed me how to use this & my bady fat % was pretty damn good-although still 2 3/4 stone heavier than I should be (!)-so fat WAS being burned but water stored. A week later I could see fom this that I'd dropped 2 kgs of water weight & some fat weight too. Hope this helps!0

Pink Princess'
Cajun spiced pecans
455g of pecan halves
28g of butter (I've tried with utterly butterly etc & it works great)
18g of cajun seasoning
Add all to the slow cooker, stir in the butter & spices. Set slow cooker to low for 3 hours, stir half way through if possible but still works if you can't.
I make my own cajun rub by mixing
2 1/2 tbsp of paprika
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp cayenne (I like hot, might want to half this)
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp thyme

Pink Princess
MILD MADRAS FULL CHICKEN
Tried this & it is so nice it will now become a regular.
I skinned a full chicken & then marinated it in
20g of melted butter
2 table spoons of garam masala
2 tablespoons of madras powder
2 cloves of crushed garlic.
I then added it to the slow cooker with an inch of hm chicken stock & a dash of soy sauce.
I turned the chicken after a few hours to help baste it.
With an hour to go I removed the cooking liquid from the sc & reduced in a saucepan with some red onion & a few tablespoons of passata.
I served this with stirfried mushroom & cabbage, one the best meals we have had for a long time if I do say so myself & enough for another meal each alsolow carb recipe list - link on page 1 low carb support threadYou don't have any control over what life throws at you.You DO have control over how you react0 -
Thanks Pink Princess!
Yassa is a Senegal stew.
This serves 4 people:
2 medium onions, 3 cloves of garlic, 50ml of lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, Cayenne pepper to personal taste. I use 1 teaspoon but I like hot. A full chicken cut into 1/4s, touch of oil spray.
Put everything in the slow cooker and give it a very good mix. I then leave over night in the fridge to marinade. If you like to leave the skin on then brown the next morning, if not remove the skin before marinade stage. Next morning just stir it all again and pop on a low heat for 6-8 hours.
The juices make an amazing sauce, just blend and quickly reduce.low carb recipe list - link on page 1 low carb support threadYou don't have any control over what life throws at you.You DO have control over how you react0 -
