i didnt see this thread i have had 140 stolen out of my account
You must have given them your bank account details for them to be able to access it. They didn't 'steal' it; you just didn't read their terms and conditions, which, as for all these bottom feeders, are probably draconian.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -
it they made it so you could actually find the terms and conditions i went through wonga on my phone and they got hold of me that way supposed to be simple enough you borrow cash then pay back with intrest no hidden charges but hey i have seen thousands of other people all who never actually went onto the loan company site and have had money taken without knowing how can u read terms and conditions if they are none i only found out it was the loan company when my bank told me they must all be blind too then :/or it could possibly be some kind of fraud which is what the majority think0

i :/or it could possibly be some kind of fraud which is what the majority think
The Majority of what??
I think I am in the Majority as I have never had money taken by them from my account, as most other people I would guess.
I also think the reason I have never had money taken by them, is because I would never give out my bank details to anyone unless I understood who I was giving them to.
It is only people too blinkered by the lure of shiny pound coins who merrily give out their bank details to anyone if they think they will be quids in.
The Irony is that most of the people who give out their details would never have repaid a loan even if they received one.
People are desperate because they are skint, they have no money; ergo, they cannot afford any kind of repayments
I do not think it is fraud, even I can take three of four seconds to find the T&C's but you lot who fall for this however, cannot.

I have had an issue with this company today. A random deduction they have tried to take repeatedly, along with the fact I've never used them!
I contacted my bank and explained the position (Santander), and they were fully aware of who this company is. Their fraud department is dealing with it, and it's simply a case of disputing the payment, which ANY bank can do. The onus is then on the company concerned to provide evidence and proof you have signed up to the agreement.
You MUST cancel your card to prevent future payments. Sadly if one has already been called for (even if not collected) they can't stop it, but you can then go through a Visa dispute. This may not mean you get the cash back immediately unfortunately.
I also contacted action fraud (so I would suggest you all do this) online to register, as well as Essex Police (003003334444). The policewoman I spoke to in their fraud team was well aware of the activities of this particular company, and have had a large number of complaints. A fraud officer has already produced a dossier and they have rest assured that they are working, within the law, to prevent this company happening. The police were especially scathing in that they apparently operate on the basis of a numbers game - i.e. people ignore it and they keep the money.
Whatever other posters on this site seem to think about the T&Cs, fact is, the website is deliberately misleading and at no stage mentions a loan, other than in the T&C small print, so they are in breach of the usual financial rules and will ultimately be forced to refund anyone who asks for it, effectively. They are relying on people not doing this, not knowing the law, and not knowing what to do. Ergo theft, and a scam.
I am staggered by the usual pompus and hypocritical rubbish about T&Cs and it being other peoples' fault. Whilst some may be anal to look at every single slightest thing, can you who complain really say you live your life that way? After all, if you buy a bar of chocolate you don't read the label to check it doesn't include arsenic. You presume it doesn't because the advertising and your experience has led you to this. Nor would the chocolate company have a defence if it killed you. This is no different, if the site (and I've just checked it) in no way states a fee or a subscription (why would someone subscribe anyway for a short term loan?), it's the same thing.
I am of the belief that this company will be brought down eventually......0 -

I would write a recorded post letter to them myself. Ringing won't do anything whatsoever, you need to write. I personally would not email either.
EDIT..............haha Apples2 beat me to it.0 -
Google mapping it, it looks like it is a smallish modernish looking building, with no signage of what the building actually contains.0
