Me tooIn my defence though since I am home all the time now this tends to be my link to other adults and the outside world. I don't always get chance to speak to the other mums at school (some are a right cliquey bunch <rollseyes>) so being able to speak to other people, even if it's via a forum is a lifesaver for me.
I am getting better at doing my jobs first and then 'puter time second
MG - looking forward to hearing all your plans
Savour every minute Dr Daffs :T
Fantasia - I love your post, it had me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Been fairly unproductive today and I don't care. Went to Forest schools with DS and his class this morning. Had a lovely long walk round with the kids who had maps and clipboards and pens
Went back to my mums for lunch and to collect DD and ended up having a snooze with DD for an hour. Most enjoyable and much needed for both of us I think.
Hope you've all had a great day today. Lots of positive vibes for you all.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I agree with you Bitsy, the computer is a great link if you don't see a lot of people, have days like this, and can well remember the Mums at the School Gate clique *shudders .
My OH works away a lot and the 'puter is a life saver sometimes, especially since i joined the Matrix.

Robsmum & Souk so sorry to hear your news - as others have said there is nothing like that sort of short, sharp shock to make you take a long hard look at what is REALLY important.
Welcome back MG - it sounds like you have come out of your digital detox thoroughly refreshed.
Fantasia Sounds like you and lovely-Leyla are settling in very well together, I'm glad of it! I also love your funny quotes!
Dr Daffs - :T:T:T for your :j:j:j moment!
I shall have a lengthy To Do list for tomorrow I think - but thankfully the means to achieve some of it are in place better than they have been for some time as we have finally got around to sorting out our internet connection on the desktop PC - the biggest difference for me is I am a lot more productive than when I am using the laptop - not sure why but I certainly notice the difference. The issue with the internet connection was as simple as needing a wireless device to connect to the router - but we'd been putting off just buying the thing and getting it done. We were at Staples on Sunday as I wanted to check the price of their envelopes (expensive!) and decided just to finally get on and buy the thing. MrEH set it up the same day and it's running brilliantly! :j Another of those little things that takes more time and effort to faff about thinking about than just to get on and sort out.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
