  • Millicent, if you are representative of UW reps then I'm glad I will never be with the company because your patronizing attitude is a disgrace. I have always done my main shop at Iceland. You can check my freezer if you want.

If you think I'm sad enough to change where I shop away from a company just because UW use them, it says a lot about your paranoia.

Meeper, you could use their phone line and benefit fromcheap gas elsewhere while getting free broadband and phone saving you more in the long run.

    Hi Twitters,

As I mentioned, this is the gas & electricity forum, so we are just concentrating on gas & electricity at the moment.

Please could you illustrate to me how I can get my gas and electricity cheaper elsewhere as per my previous example, otherwise please concede that actually, UW is a pretty good deal in my case.

    Thanks,

    Meeper

    Janninew,

Still convinced that MillicentBystander isn't 1carminestocky, operastar, carespress and a whole host of other identities?

    I mean really convinced?

Go own, you can admit it - nobody will know!

I am not a UW rep. Fact. Here's what you said in post 708:
Many credit cards do cashback and aren't picky about where you shop. I shop at Tesco and Asda and the Tesco Clubcard Credit Card is perfect for me, whereas the UW Cashback Card is pointless because I never shop at many places that support UW.

I then informed you that Asda was actually included in the UW cash back card and here's your reply (post 723):
Asda isn't listed on the UW website. I spend £150 a month on petrol from Tesco or Asda. £50 on Iceland food and £50 from Tesco/Asda and the rest by cash. That spend gets me £15 a quarter to spend in Tesco.

Tell me how UW can beat that as I can't see how.
    :p

Then you went on to to state you did your 'main monthly shop' in Iceland even though you had previously stated you spend just £50 there! Then you admitted to spending just £250/mth on your beloved Tesco clubcard credit card as you were worried about spending more than you had and going into debt! Seriously, why would we trust anything you say?

Sorry to disappoint Cardew, but I still haven't seen any evidence to support your theory! I can't even remember Carmine's post to compare, it must be over a year ago since they were written, my memory ain't that great and I have slept since then!!

  • You're a petty and vindictive poster Millicent and I have no idea why I'm responding to your attacks. Firstly, you are assuming that because in my first post I forgot to mention I use Iceland that I've made it up. Well it's all true I'm afraid. As for my bill being only £250 a month, you've made that number up. Again, there are other bits that go on there which I haven't mentioned because it's nowt to do with you.

As for getting into debt, again you don't have a clue on my circumstances. I find having a credit card is easier for me to manage and allows me leeway if my other half wants something she doesn't have the money for at that moment. A pre-payment card would take that away.

From the attacks you make on posters I'd say you do have a link to UW. If you want to continue making personal digs at posters then fine, carry on. I know you know nothing aboute and are talking rubbish so what you say back doesn't matter because it's wrong.

Ok, I tried asking for proof about identities, and I got nowhere. I thought to myself "I know, I'll ask a question about gas and electricity, that's sure to work", but no. My question has been ignored by everyone who comes here claiming to be all about getting teh best deals and cheapest stuff, as they have focussed on identities once again. Can I get an answer to my questions please?

    Thanks,

    M.

You can attack me all you like but when I read a line like that posted by someone who is trying to tell others how to save money I just shudder, TBH. Blimey. Scary.

And, YET AGAIN, I have no link and have never had a link (apart from being a customer) to UW but it's entirely clear I know much more than yourself about saving money/budgeting.

It's clear you don't know anything about saving money otherwise you wouldn't be saying a UW card would be better for me than my credit card.

Meeper, I don't know enough about other cards or options to see if you could do cheaper. Hopefully you are on the cheapest for you and you're not overspending.

I've tried, my conscious is clear. Maybe some of your anti-UW friends could have a private word with you by PM as to the dangers of you having a credit card. They really are for people who have control over their finances, if not they can lead to a lifetime of absolute misery. I know you don't believe me, but like I said I've tried.
