Have you got to the fed up eating pineapples and curry stage yet? lol. I am feeling fed up already which is mad because I have 5 weeks to go yet. The nesting bug has got me hard atm.
Is this your first hun? x
Lol - thats ok chick. I do that too and ask things before I read things properly too! pregnancy brain!
No I have a little boy Benjamin who has just turned 6 in May and I miscarried twins Jennifer and Jamie at 8 weeks in August 2009 - and was most shocked at Christmas to be feeling sicky so did a test and it came back positive so presumed I was only 6/8 weeks maximum and was upset as I hadn't really gotten over the loss yet, went for a scan on the 18th January expecting to be 8 weeks and see a blob and told midwife what stage I expected and didn't want to see the screen, and started, asked how far I thought I was, so I said 6 weeks possibly 8, and she giggled and I asked what she was giggling at she showed me this

and she said 'your not 6, your more like 16!' so she shocked the hell out of me and my partner and we literally had to go through all the 4 month bloods there and then too. They came to the conclusion I literally caught 2 - 3 weeks after miscarrying so she is our little blessing. So am desperate to meet her now!Time to find me again0 -
Wow sammy that amazing it must have been such a shock after your loss but a wonderful one though. Labour vibes coming your way :-) xx:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Aww that scan is awesome I love baby piccies
Xmas I have asked you this so many times now.. how many weeks are you? I am starting taking 4 x small epo tablets and 3 x rlt capsules. I am just hoping mr google gave me the right info on the doseage!! though saying that neither can bring on labour so cant do any harm anyway I dont think.
What else are you taking? lol. The only other think I take is TUMS. I am at the maximum of 7 a day and would love to be able to take more pmsl. Da mn heartburn0 -

It was amazing and we were in total shock and so was our family when we told them all.
Got to admit I did burst into tears in the waiting room though because even the thought of being pregnant again terrified me.
I found it really hard to bond with babe too - like I knew she was in there but didnt really care and I only started buying baby items at about 8 months gone because I just didnt want to know and family were worried because I had no interest at all.
The weird thing too is I found out I was pregnant and told my work mate in work that I swore I could feel the baby kicking and moving but was being stupid as I was only 6-8 weeks :rotfl::rotfl:
Cant wait to get her out now though - want to meet her and have my mummy cuddles.
We named her at about 6/7 months which was when my attitude towards her changed I think so want her here now!Time to find me again0 -
Mumof i was 32 wks yesterday these are the dosages i work too and what i used last time
Calcium in weeks before labour 1,000mg a day see below with new RDA
Calcium at onset of labour 2,000 mg
EPO 1-2 500mg from week 34 to week 37
3-4 500mg during week 38
Insert 1 capsule each night from week 39
RLT 1 cup from Week 32 to Week 33
2 cups Week 34 to Week 35
3 cups in Week 36
4 cups in week 37 and 38
TOTAL = 6 boxes of 20 tea bags IF YOUR USING TABLETS THE WOMAN IN HOLLAND AND BARRETTS SAYS ONE TABLET = 1 CUP OF TEA
Arnica Cream For application after birth decided on arnica tablets instead see doses below
Arnica Tabs 30c 2 tablets 3 times a day – 3 days before
30c 2 tablets every 2 hours – up to 6 doses
30c 2 tablets 3 times a day – 5 days after
Ive actually got the 60c arnica tabs so i just halve the dosage but i dont think it matters as you can't overdose on it.
Sammy i can totally understand the not bonding straight away i would have thought you would be expecting the worst at first i know i was with last bubs after my previous ectopic and wouldnt let myself get to excited until i was sure he was safely where he should be and growing well. Mine was found relatively early i was only about 4-5 wks gone but i have never cried so much in my life and the actual operation day was horrendous as other half couldnt be there and i had to drive myself home afterwards. Still i have always been of the mind set that what doesnt kill us makes us stronger and i have my wonderful bubs to prove that and little babs on the way now. I hope your having your mommy cuddles very soon :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
sammy your story is amazing - you must have been so shocked, but in a way its so much better as you didn't have the wait til 12 weeks thing to worry about - plus you were nearly half way through already!
does anyone know if you freeze the RLT into lollies if it takes away any of the useful properties?0 -
I dont think it effects it Kym as i was told you can make iced tea with it as well as having it hot, what a brilliant idea though might give that one a whirl myself :-)
Mumof almost forgot them i read the other week if you suffer with heart burn you should take a dose of your meds 15mins before you eat that way it gets into the lining of your stomach rather than just sitting on top of the food you have eaten and is alot more effective :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
I made iced tea with it yesterday it tasted vile lol. Which is why I bought the tabs. l got them from holland and barretts. so is 3-4 tablets a day too much?0
-
The tablets ive got are good n natural 400mg ones the woman just said 1 tablet = 1 cup of tea. I know dosage advise varies wildly from you can take them from the start of pregnancy to your not meant to take them until your 37wks. The dosages above were given to me by a previous lady who was on here called Glamazon and i think she had done quite a bit of research into it all. I have to say the above worked fine for me i didnt get any adverse effects and it made labour and recovery a whole lot quicker so its what im sticking with. The bottle does state 3 a day is fine though and your 2 weeks ahead of me though so your only taking 1 more per day than my plan so i wouldnt worry to much :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

loving all the bump pics everyone....my bump is huge at 26+6...I will get DH to take a pic at the weekend (in my nighty now which DH says makes me look like I should be in an institution!), people keep saying 'are you sure it's not twins' and being really shocked when I say I'm not due til October!
Busy day at work today, had to stand on the train this morning, got chatting to another pg lady as neither of us were given seats. One came free and she made me take it as I'd be on the train longer and had further to go, plus I was much bigger than her. Despite us then chatting about how tiring it was etc, the guy next to me didn't move for her! Appalling given that it was nearly 30 degrees!
still, on hol now for a week. Visiting my family this weekend, wish we'd booked a train rather than have a 4hr+ drive in this heat (no air con in car and I am the only driver), but it's too late now. Planning to set off at 6am to try and avoid the heat. Bit worried about being up there, the sleeping situation is a bit of a nightmare as only a double bed which is against the wall and DH and I have been in seperate rooms for weeks, can't even sleep in a king size bed!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
