Morning everyone
very cold here this morning but bright and sunny for a change, it has rained in the night though.
Today i plan to get a bit more done in the garden and greenhouse if the weather permits, i shall take the houndies for a walk first and then see how much i get done before i freeze
All the morning jobs are done, dw, wm and bm emptied and all the clothes are on the radiator airers as it`s far too cold outside to dry anything. If we get any breeze later i shall hang some of the thicker items outside.
I shall pop back later, have a good day everyone.

Hello everybody,
Well I might be half way across the world but it's been wet and horrible over here as well today.XDIL didn't go to college again today  so I didn't have DGS. I went shopping this morning. Unpacked & had lunch and they came down to get the key to move some things into YS house. Popped back at 3pm for a cuppa and DGS real out of sorts. He was a bit hot and apparently had a bath and has been asleep ever since. Must be coming down with something. Sleep & bed is the best place though.
I tried my toffee vodka tonight in a glass of lemonade. Not sure if this is how you drink it. Bit sweet but I managed to drink it all down.Might be better with soda water I'm thinking. Think I might cut out a pattern for a dress tomorrow morning. See how I go, I've got to tackle a few cabbages first.
Well I better get going. I've really haven't done that much OS stuff today.Hope you have a great day and <hugs> to those that need them. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Lesleyxx
here it is!
Jam Crumblie
6oz butter/marg
6oz dark soft brown sugar
6oz porridge oats
7oz plain flour
pinch salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
4oz jam
lightly grease an 8" square baking dish(microwavable eg ceramic lasagne dish)
cream the fat and sugar together
stir in the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly
press half the mixture into the dish
melt the jam in the microwave for 30 secs and then spread the jam over the base.
Crumble on the remaining oat mixture, pressing it down lightly.
bake in the microwave for 7 minutes(full power)
Cut into squares and cool in the baking dish.
Its yummy and you csan also do a christmas version using mincemeat instead of jam.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all, back in work today. Feeling cream crackered, OH had a bad night, it took three nurses to get her of the MRI scanner, so she was in a lot of pain yesterday.
Lunch is beef stew from last night. Yellow sticker organic chicken for tea. Not much in the way of OSing really, OH made a Victoria sponge last week so still munching our way through that. Which is nice.0 -

Good morning all. From a fairly mild and sunny Nottingham
I havent had a chance to read through todays posts, i am running late, as usual
The DW hadnt started this morning. ( I use the timer so that it starts at 6.30) So i had to start it manually. WM has completed its load. Its flapping away in a breeze.
Today i have to go to Mr.M to get my £40 receipt for week 2 of get £20 back
I have a list and promise i will be good. A few naughty things on there that i wouldnt usually buy ( Cream muffins being one of them ) But thats my going shopping treat
I stopped by at Mr.A this morning after doing the school run. They have Cravendale milk for £1 and Utterley Butterley 1kg for £1. So i bought 2 of eachI them stopped by the craft shop to buy some red card to make a start on my snowman soup labels. I have had a problem with an ebay seller so have to make the labels because i havent received my bags
Hugs to everyone who needs them today.
I shall pop back later xfurrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:

Morning all, long time no see. Have been keeping up with things though.
Made my Christmas cake yesterday at last!! Made Delia's last year as I couldn't find my original recipe from a Marguerite Patten cook book that I usually use. This year I managed to find Marguerite's recipe so made that. The house smelt lovely all day yesterdayDid a little bit of housework yesterday, Tuesday is usually my day, so didn't have so much to do today so that's why I am sitting writing on here so early
Am going to wrap a few Christmas pressies today, little and often is my motto this year.
Ironing to do later too and wait in for a Mr T delivery. Have a fruit loaf in the BM at the mo and then going to make some dough for soft rolls. Am really enjoying my BM, it hasn't let me down once yet so am well impressed. No dinner to cook today. Hubby is away at an all day seminar and is being fed and watered there, so DS is bringing fish and chips home and am looking forward to that :T
Hugs to all and have a good day0 -
good morning :hello:
it was a lovely bright morning here in North Wales, the autumn trees looked amazing in the sun on the drive to work, but seems to be getting duller now!
I'm hoping it's bright at the weekend so I can get all my bulbs in
DD made some tuna, onion and feta toasties last night which were yummy and I've brought the leftover tuna to work with some pasta for lunch
Dinner is a chicken stroganoff type dish made with creme fraiche, and rice
I did a meal plan last friday before shopping and determined to make it last at least a week
DS has a dvd he needs to watch for drama, it's a comedy so we can all sit down and watch that tonight
DD has a fancy dress sponsored walk on Friday and looking for ideas for an easy to make outfit, she suggested a toga but I think it may be too cold!!
