If a few people get them then I would be tempted to ask Dell why they lied in the cancellation e-mail but can't say I am that bothered, It would have been nice to get it but I've just had a look out the window and the sky hasn't fallen in, I am pretty sure that life will continue as normal tomorrow

just for fun,can we start a petition on the No.10 website that the consumers secretary of state takes action against Dell and others who promise and don't deliver?i'd do it myself but don't know how :j
    Just for fun???

Do you think No. 10 has provided those kind of facilities just so you can have a bit of fun??

I don't want to see my tax money wasted on some ludicrous action against Dell, especially when you knew full well that it was a bloody long shot. You want to waste your own money, go for it. Take them to court. But don't start trying to waste mine as well.

Don't know how to start a petition? Course you do. You just don't want to be the one who's responsible for putting it on the web site.
The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

Usually if you got the order confirmation PDF file you were home and dry....I've had run-ins with Dell on previous "mistakes" they have made and one classic response was

Online are transposed automatically onto the ordering database, unless for some reason the information is unable to be successfully transposed. However, on this occasion, some orders relating to this offer were transposed onto the ordering database until the Pricing and Online teams became aware of the pricing error. Then orders would have been stopped.
During that time period, you attempted to place an order at the incorrect price. However, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions of sale which say that orders are only binding when confirmed by Dell in a written order confirmation, we will not be processing your order at that price, as you did not receive an order confirmation.
Should customers have had orders placed on the ordering database and received order confirmations, the orders have been built. However, as in your situation, the order was not raised on the ordering database. Consequently, we are not processing your order at that price, as you did not receive an order confirmation.

Seems strange that even though people got the confirmation PDF they are not honouring the orders...If Dell are now not honouring the Order Confirmation PDF then looks like there will be no-more "mistake" bargins to be had from them :(
