khrest - As far as the timing of the payment goes, it looks like you get it at the end of your first year. From the small print on their website (my bold):1. No rebate is payable in any month in which the minimum payment is not received by the due date. No rebate is payable on cash withdrawals, interest, fees, balance transfers, amounts subsequently re-credited to your account due to refunds, or expenditure in any one month exceeding the amount of your Credit Limit. No rebate is payable if you end the agreement before the relevant Card Anniversary date. Subject to the above a rebate of 3% will be payable to you by us on all transactions made in the first 3 months and applied at the same time as any annual rebate. An annual rebate on the aggregate amount of all transactions (other than the exclusions stated above and any introductory offer) will be payable to you by us and calculated at the following rates, 0.5% for aggregate amounts up to £3,500; and 1% for aggregate amounts from £3,501 to £10,000; and 1.5% for aggregate amounts in excess of £10,001.0

Readers may wish to note that the Halifax Card Services have changed the circumstances in which they pay cashback on their accounts.
They will no longer pay cashback where amounts are less than £10 per annum and
will ROUND DOWN to the nearest £5 the amount they pay at the year end !!0 -
Not only have MBNA terminated their arrangement with Conran they have now reduced the final payout from £1 per share to around 80p per share. I know the £1 wasn't guaranteed but this is sneaky. Fortunately we now have our egg cards and the cut up Conran cards will soon be winging their way back to MBNA.0

I also have Egg Money and I think it is likely that Egg will soon cut the cashback too. They have recently been purchased by Citibank and I bet they will want to try and increase profits. Enjoy the 1% while it lasts!0 -

Thank heavens I applied for an Egg Money card ten days ago.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
I couldn't find where Morgan Stanley have mentioned their £20 annual fee from 1st June. Is this for new accounts only or for all accounts? Regards.0

I got my statement today, it is written on the front of there.0

but my alternative, Morgan Stanley platinum (another of Martin's recommendations) will be subject to a £20 p.a. fee from 1 June 2007 - so that one's got to go too.
I just spoke to Morgan stanely about this and they stated it only applies to their standard Cards and the platinum card is not affected by the charge and as my wife has the standard she has now just upgraded to platinum to avoid the cost too :T0 -

I agree with that one.
I have Amex Platinum and Egg - but have also just taken out another Thomas Cook Card (good intro bonus to existing customers) as a 'backup' in case Egg withdraw their cashback.
Its becoming increasingly difficult to find a decent cashback card:sad:I am NOT a Woman! - its Overland Landy (as in A Landrover that travels Overland)

It does not show Amex?
Looks like the number of cashback cards is declining at a rapid rate!
Even those that exist now appear to 'cap' earnings or decline cashback rates with higher spending.
The days of the CBCC look numberedI am NOT a Woman! - its Overland Landy (as in A Landrover that travels Overland)
