Erm, need an excuse, thinking:think:, thinking:think:,

Would this one work Spoon? I've spent the aftenoon doing exactly that!
My occy health appointment was today... they were running 1 hour behind schedule but no-one thought to tell me so I sat in the waiting room, pouring over the clothes in Grazia magazine, wondering who spends £1,800 on a jacket and £2,000 on a skirt .
And then the appoitment took an hour - not because we were havnig a useful discussion but just because the women was slow (but lovely). The upshot is I should be back at work on the 10th May, 3 days for first two weeks and full-time after that... not sure why occy health really needed to be involved in that decision to be honest. I have to use my holidays so I'd already decided how I wanted to do that. Occy health just took an hour to faff about and agree with me. (I even got so bored in the appointment I wandered over to try and work out my height. My friend is adamant I'm taller than 5'3... I'm between 161-162cm - the height thing was too difficult for me to work! - which, I think makes me right! Which I figured, I've been this height for about half my life-time now, if not longer. If I could up it to 5'4, I'm pretty sure I would have done before now :rotfl:)
I think the occy health nurse needs some training from my GP - she can have you in and out in less than 9 minutes and we can have discussed much more than I did in the time I was with the nurse today! Never reaslised what a phenomenal skill that is to have until tody! However, she did recommend a good book on cognitive behavioural therapy so I might see if I can find that!
I'm on track for an NSD today... not planned! Sheer laziness! Since the appointment eventually took up 3 hours of my day, I didn't go to visit pregnant friend (or the gym), or post the books people have mooched from me or get ink for my printer... but all is postponed until tomorrow. Which is actually better as I need to post a couple of birthday cards then anyway to get to places on the 22nd.
Oh, and I owe my flatmate £4 for the Betterware guy. Hmmm, I think I'll leave that sitting on the dininig table, then I won't know if he took it today or tomorrow! That'll stop me knowingly messing up today's NSD (do you think that's against the rules?).Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Spoon and Tixy, I didn't see your posts earlier, the must have crossed in cyber-space!
I hope you are both sitting down... I have just photographed 20 items of clothing, yes you read me right! 20 items (ok, 19 items of clothing and a pair of boots if you must be pedantic about it!). And I typed up descriptions on word as I went along!
Ok, they are still in the camera and I think I'm going to put the on them clothes swapping site before ebay, but they are ready to rock and roll the next time there's a free ebay listing day!
:A:A:A
Tixy, Spoon... do you dare to enter into the challenge with 3dogs and I?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hmmm, thought it hadn't taken me that long to list my 20 items... but it's been almost 2 hours!
At the moment I'm just registered to swap, but I can pay £1 month and then I can swap and sell and I'm not limited to one swap a month. I think I'll do that in the morning (erm, later in the morning), locked myself out of paypal earlier. Bl**dy passwords. They always run off from me when I need them most!
I'll see how it goes. If it doesn't work, there's still ebay or car booting. But if I do get any swaps, that'll be a nice wee bonus as I guess it won't count in the crazy clothes challenge.
Jane Norman clothes swaps, how exciting :j:j:jJan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

:j:j:j I've a message requesting a swap for one of my items of clothing already! It kinda took me by surprise, I didn't think people really would be interested! But she has tons of stuff I'd love! Loads of new Jane Norman stuff she's never worn! :j Heaven! All you fabulous frugalistas out there will, no doubt, understand my goose-pimply excitement at being able to swap my wardrobe with the whole world!
:j:j:j
(Lula hun, if this works, I might breeze through the clothes challenge! And I'm off there next to let folks know!)
Don't you just love it when the little things send you into a tizzy of ecitement!
Now, just to think all the little things are that exciting and I'll be an irritatingly cheery girl!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

He's great:D:D
Well, I've sorted out 4 things to ebay today:D. Going to spend Friday pm sorting out some more. Might have a go at my books for GreenMet first - got loads I won't read any longer and, though I hate getting rid of books, I am fast running out of space:(:(. Will that qualify?
Well done nicca, you've really got going now, you're like a little whirlwind:rotfl:The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

I'm with you on the books! I gathered a [STRIKE]small[/STRIKE] tiny pile of books that I have read that, though I'd like to keep them, I'm just never likely to read them again! I've been thinking about Green Met. I'll think about that while you think about ebay
. And you can let me know how hard it was to let your books go!
My first ever, proper clothes swap has now been completed and I am "in discussion" regarding another one.
Woo hoo!
Oh, and I'd a spare stamp in my purse to send off the important birthday card. I'll see the other birthday card person soon anyway. So I'm on track for another NSD. Again down to laziness. You gotta love the laziness (especially when you ended up uploading photographs online at silly o'clock!).Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

I'm such a muppet. I have been battling with paypal, trying to verify/add/delete old and new bank accounts in a bid to upgrade my account on the clothes swapping site (one swap a month is too few for my liking
), all the while thinking, woohoo, another accidental NSD day! Completely forgetting that I was in the middle of trying to spend £12 whole pounds to swap and sell on the site for the next 12 months.

lol i'm sure you're no more a muppet than many of us lol
do you mind giving me the name of the cognative therapy book? i think i need to have a read of something like that but don't know where to start looking. thanks0 -
Hi Lemon Tree, the book is Mind Over Mood , by Christine Padesky and Dennis Greenberger and is abot £13 from Amazon (other good bookstores are available). It's in a workbook format and seems to have good reviews! I think I've just about enough points from surveys to get me a reward, so this just might be it
.
And I've learned how to insert a link behind a word too - oh what a clever girl I am!
I hope the book can help me think myself to bed earlier to ensure I have enough sleep to perhaps allow it to actually be "beauty" sleep! As well as all the other stuff too!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
