Which one is yours... the TJ hughes one I gave a link for or the other one? Are they just as bad as each other?

Mine is the prolextric one lil. I am so disappointed with it.

  • I love Dunelm

    This is my sewing machine

They sell loads of fab things - last time I went I spent £25 and got loads and a nice cappacino and scone on the way round!

Their large blankets are great and super soft.

havent been on here for a while but have just read the last few pages and have decided this thread should come with a government health warning as my sides are sore from laughing
im hopeless at remembering names and want to read much more tonight that i dont have time to go back through the threads but you all know who you are LOL

the image i have of learning to knit with a note on your hand to say which hand you knit with is priceless.i know people have to learn and this isnt meant to be nasty as i would be the same if i learned to crochet

    making ghosts?????

skinny fashion scarf-will this make me a size 10 yippee i dont need to jhoin scottish slimmers then!!!

i need to get around to making a list of all i need to make-ive said this before but didnt do it.i only finished a calendar for this year today better late than never

i wish i could craft every day but i come online then get sidetracked reading about all the lovely things i could make and then its time for bed!!
when i finished the calendar today i rearranged all my crafting units/things as i have a corner in my girls bedroom-i did have the whole room but she moved back in so i now kinda craft around her so basically when she is out i craft if im not online

ok happy crafting to all and keep up with all the lovely ideas and i love to see all the pics of things people have made

Oh dear - it does sound as though you may need to get a new machine. Have you thought about looking at second hand machines? Sometimes a machine dealer will sell refurbished sewing machines quite reasonably and you get a good quality machine at a reasonable price. You also get the follow up support that can be quite useful.

I think you're going to have to post a picture of your ghosts. It's the only way my curiosity will be satisfied!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

At the moment I really can't afford it, I am saving for a food mixer (have wanted one for ages).

To be honest my ghosts are a bit naff so I would be embarrased to show you

Could I ask - where did you get the chicken pattern from or did you make it up yourself?

    Hi Boys and Gals,
I asked a few pages back "is knitting with chunky needles easier than skinny ones?" and also is there a type of wool that is easier to knit with? any tips for avoiding big holes and loops?

Got a great crafty treat today, would make a brilliant gift for someone http://handmadeheartfelted.blogspot.com - it is a car scraper for the ice, but it keeps your hand warm while you do it! I've got one and they are brilliant! Really good tutorial from Little Birdie blog. Think I'm going to make one for my partner and Dad

If anyone could help with the knitting queries, I'd be grateful! :) x

I am loving this thread! You have actually got me doing something for once. Nothing as exciting as all your wonderful teddy-disfigurement projects ;) but something nonetheless.

I sat down the other night and have sorted out all the old xmas cards. Some are part made into gift tags (can't find my hole punch at the mo so they are just cut out ready to be finished), some have been made or are ready to make into the little boxes mentioned earlier in the thread, and some are ready for making into ornaments with the kids (little hanging balls or scented sachets). But my fave has been making these http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/sour_cream_container/ they are so easy and look lovely. I've made them up until the end of step 4.

I really want to make a chicken doorstop for DH's birthday in Feb they look so cute and our front door drives him mad. Have some scrap material from some of DS1's totally wrecked trousers, so will try with that as am a hopeless sewer really but want to have a go. I have another (non-crafty) present organised as well though!
  • Ive posted on jewellery thread but thought I`d post here too.

My bracelet make from this morning which is a gift for my friend.
