I signed up to a new littlewoods account so I could use a money off code *whistle* anyhow, used OH's name, and you have to go through that stupid credit thing at the start now, and he was approved, WOW HERE HAVE £750 LIMIT TO BLOW ON OUR OVERPRICED STUFF!! No thanks!! That's a boggling amount to let someone blow, it's not like they even ask for important details like errr, can you afford to pay it back?!

Just pay by debit card always! Anyhow ordered myself a new phone because mine has given up the ghost, and it's down from £150 to £59 with £15 code off - so £44, not bad, plus it's pink and a SE - MY FAVE!

I did see that, it reminded me of what my nan did with my cousins  its 18yo and 17yo's birthdays in December too, so she sent up in 18yo's birthday card a cheque for £20, and in my aunties xmas card a cheque for £5 each for auntie and uncle, £10 for 17yo and £5 for 8yo, so nothing for 18yo for xmas? Then said she could only afford £5 for 17yo's birthday and only sent the £20 for 18yo cos it was her 18th, and sent up £10 in 17yo's card instead?! My auntie was fuming to think she would treat her kids differently!

OHs granny gave us a cheque for £2k last xmas and gave OH a cheque for £10 for his birthday this yr. All a bit strange She forgot DD's birthday altogether this year but bought her loads for xmas

Ladybird, she has just dropped her letter in and now been told she's only entitled to 26wks maternity pay too, now I know that isn't right so I will help her sort it but will have to be next week as all the helplines will be closing today.
Too many children, too little time!!!

Oh yeah, I got a letter through about my NI stamp, blah blah you have to work 30years to get a pension yadda yadda. Anyway, there is a thing called the Home responsibility thing so if you recieve child benefit for a child under 16 (soon to be changing to 12) they pay your NI, so it shows up on the letter

    06-07 -
    07-08 - £395
    08-09 -

So I only owe for 07-08 but HELLO I HAD KEIRA THEN!! So I apparently need to go to the jobcentre and pick up some stupid form and fill it in? Why could they not just sort it out? Its not hard if they the other 2 years correct!

Ok Maz just let me know.

Personally I would add to the milk within 24hrs. If i'd expressed in the morning and then again in the evening put it in the same bottle/storage bag etc. But then I'd use it within 3 days or freeze it and use within 3 months.

Thanks girls. Not overly worried about weight gain just surprised thats all

Can i be a pain (again) and ask anyone who had to have bp controlled during late pregnancy can you remind me how the last few weeks went and how the birth was - i am on the pregnancy thread - thank you very much. I am borderline pre-eclampsia and on labatelol and mw monitoring after coming home from hosp over christmas. Thank you very much

Cant believe i might be joining you guys in about a week's time:j

hi jha. will copy this to preg thread so you dont miss my answer.

i was given a 'go straight to hospital' BP reading of 140/90 (cos i have existing high bp). i was on methyldopa at the max of 500mg 3 times a day.
    .

in the last 6 weeks i saw (initially) mw every week to have bp/wee test. if i went to the 140/90 i was sent upto the antenatal ward. after been overnight a few times. The consultant decided i had to have my BP checked every 3 days. So i was at the hospital every monday, mw on a wed and then drop-in centre every friday. i had another scan at 32 weeks as well to make sure baby was growing ok. I ended up staying in hospital for the majority of my last 6 weeks. Eventually it got to the stage where i would have a BP check and be sent to ward, stay a few nights come home fir a few days and go back up again. had another scan at 37+6 to check on baby. I was told I might have to be induced if BP was not being controlled. and this is waht happened. Has appt at consutlant when i was 38+6. BP was high so was admitted from then and induced following morn. when i got to 4cm dilated i was brought to delivery suite in the high risk room and was constantly on BP machine so i could not move around at all. had gas/air (pile of crap
) then pethidine (or similar) then c/sect (that was kian not me)

so basically it was lots of meds. plenty of checkups and do as little as poss at home. my ankles, feet and hands were very swollen but once i had Kian it all went. BP went back to my normal and i;m now on diff meds.

I have been running around like a crazy woman today trying to get the place tidied up there are all sorts of tools and bits of wood all over the place. Dh has put a load of stuff in the attic and done ANOTHER skip run, he has done about 9 in the last few weeks!! Things are looking a lot better now...Brother has just pulled up in his car so best go pester him to plaster my door;)

Oh anyone needing baby gates....Asda have decent Lindam ones £20 each or 2 for £30, we desperately needed one on the kitchen and will need one on the staris soonish as he keeps going over to them and climbing up to the first step...so we just got the two, they are lovely:)
