No she would laugh me out the door. She already has a scaffolding ear bar but I draw the line at facial ones !!

BTW i'M GLAD oops shouty, you elarborated on what a conch is LMAO!

Heh... a picture of a conch piercing here I've just got a stud in mine though, not a great big ring thing :)

I'm not to keen on scaffolding. I'm an old rocker/goth, so people with loads of metal in them don't bother me, but scafolding is one that doesn't do it for me. I once knew someone who had the bridge of his nose pierced - that did gross me out a bit! Facial piercings are definitely for once you've left school at the earliest, although tbh i'd be less woried about any piercings than tatoos - at least you can take them out again!

Oh, on the subject of grandparents - my grandad is definitely getting more forgetful. He didn't give us a Christmas present/card this year. Not sure if it was intentional or not. I don't mind for us, but it would have been nice for Izzy to have had something from him. Might mention it to my Mum, as I wouldn't put it past him to have our cards still sat on his kitchen table or something ;)

  • Oh and Emz, I think there is a bit of a mixture. I'm 29, and am pretty much in the middle I think.

I know it's REALLY early days yet, but when do babies get more interactive when they're awake, out of curiosity? Not necessarily play, but I feel like we should be doing more with him when he's awake, but not sure what 'more' IS! iyswim...

One of the things an HV type person suggested I do was stick my tongue out at Kezia to encourage interaction. I started at about 3 weeks old and she was doing it back, intermittently, within a couple of days. We still do it now and it gets the best grins and smiles out of her.

Does 1lb 3oz seem alot of weight to put on in 17 days? I was shocked when William was weighed yesterday

Maz, Kezia was putting on an oz a day for couple of weeks or more, after only losing 10g of original birth weight in first week. Seems to have leveled off now though and has been at 50th centile all along. We must just feed good :T

oh the cheek! OH just home and has made himself 2 bacon butties, used a whole pack of bacon, non foe me or Chris!
That would be an absolute hanging offence in this house!

Em, I think sometimes we have to just suck it back and get on with it as best we can... We found being sarcastically nice to Nan worked for my Aunt and I... Sarcasm goes straight over my Nan's head so she didn't notice but it made us feel better lol...

    Emz, I'm 30... 2 girls aged 5 and 7 months...

And this afternoon I noticed our first tooth! :D Bottom right... Little bit spiky, looks like a grain of rice... Can't wait for hubby to get back so he can have a feel of it...

You know, I was a single parent for the whole of Aimee's babyhood and didn't half miss having someone to share those sorts of thing with... I knew it would be different this time around, but I don't think I appreciated how different it would be...:o
