Thanks feelie, I'm ok. I notice that I get miserable late in the evening so now I've noticed I'll hopefully be able to stop it. The list would be good if you don't mind :)

    Increasing pumping output:
Try breast compression while pumping (http://www.kellymom.com/store/freehandouts/newman/15BreastCompression.pdf)
Double pump if possible, if not, twiddle other nipple while pumping
Pump for 5 minutes after the last drop of milk
Are you using a pump with two settings? Switch back to rapid pumping to try and get another let down when milk stops
Pumping one side while feeding on the other can get a good output
Overnight pumpings can help increase supply
Morning sessions often get a good output
    Empty breasts fill faster
Don't worry about running out of milk for LO
Lean forward when pumping, gravity helps!
Does your pump have the right size horns?

    Generally increaasing supply:
    Co-sleepng and babywearing can help
Eat lots of oats - porridge, flapjack
Supplements can help - not sure what you can get there (things like domperidone, fenugreek, blessed thistle)
Calcium and magnesium can help if you get a period
    Lots of skin-to-skin
Let baby feed as often or aslong as they want
Baby massage can help digestion and increase weight gain

It is normal for a Mum who is breastfeeding to only get 15-30ml when pumping, so don't be disheartened. If you stick to a schedule, output should increase.

Feelie - I don't really know much about your situation, just snippets I've seen on here and the other ladies have been around longer, but that sounds really terrible.

OH can be dismissive about things like - If your fat - Don't eat, Eating disorder? - Just don't do it.

But I seriously wouldn't be living with someone who constantly made me question myself, make me feel like I have to be happy 24/7 etc

Don't even get me started on him scaring you into thinking that if you leave Toby with someone he'll end up abused! That's just well out of order, a bit of time to yourself would probably be great, learn to drive, go to yoga, do whatever the hell you wanna do for a few hours. If he's that concerned then he should be watching Toby, I know before you've said he's not changed a nappy or anything, maybe it's about time he did!

You are a great mummy Feelie, you seem so dedicated and do whatever you think is best for Toby, the whole expressing for months on end etc, I could never of done that, even with support which I don't think your OH was giving you.

You need to do some "feelie" time, just take yourself off out for half a day, go shopping, visit friends, anything that YOU want to do.

He sounds like an insensitive, ignorant and selfish man.

I'm alright, was just making list!

Really don't know what to do. OH is awake but hasn't come downstairs.

but all the Nordic type ones (Katvig, Molo, IdaT and similar) he is wearing 18-24 months! 86cm ones. It is all very silly.

I did wonder if European babies were smaller than ours? I got a few outfits from a relative abroad, and the sizes are really small. I'm sure they were labelled 4-6(?) months, but were the same size as our newborn stuff?

Talking of short bodies, I'm sure I watched a program with a very tall man and a very short man, but when they sat down, the short man looked taller because he had a long body and short legs, whereas the other guy had all his height in his legs. I might have made that up though, I can't remember :o

I've got one of them short bodies! I'm 5'7 1/2" (don't forget the 1/2), but wear either standard or short sized jeans/trousers.
Also, i can't wear dresses that are fitted - as the waistband of the dress, is usually up under my boobs/around my ribs?
    I'm just odd.
I can get 'OMG he is so big' followed by 'he is such a littley' in the space of 5 minutes!!

Us too - I have no idea which she is!

Feelie - hope you're ok. I've pm'd you - but i couldn't agree with Searchie more. It's you and Toby who are the most important people in your world - and you've got to do what's right to make you both happy. You're not responsible for anyone elses happiness.

    Sami, hope Edgar's ok :)

Had more to say but now very late for meeting friend :o
I loved Philosophy! I found it very interesting that stats show that Philosophy graduates don't get jobs (they compile the stats about 6mths after they've finished uni) but that when they do get jobs (after the magic 6mths) they are much happier in their jobs

The nurse (who the receptionist 'kindly' reminded me "is medically trained") didn't seem to have a clue about BFed babies  and told me to take him to clinic to see HV

eta but he's not been sick today and only did a little posset yesterday but he struggled more with pooping yest and it was much more gloopy and lumpy than the smooth stuff he usually does. he also had a low temp on sat after he'd been sick even tho he felt hot n sweaty and his heart goes a million to the dozen too

Keira is back at nursery today, hurrah. I was supposed to join the gym today but didn't get all the stuff I needed from sports direct or whatever the crap shop was called so going to pop in whilst she's at nursery and get some CHEAP white trainers and jogging bottoms. Would primark have that?

I also want one of those LED pen things that show up cat wee, I'm suspicious, there was only 2 pees in the litterboxes overnight, and 1 of those was because I put the kitten in it. HMMMMMM. I don't smell !!!! though, but then I would be desensitised too it anyways?

Keira slept in her bed until 3am, then woke up hysterical, I tried to settle her for an HOUR, no go. I ended up going in the bed with her. But she got up at 9am today, so much better time :D
