I want to put something on my signature so that you click on it and it will take you to a previous post, like I did when honey was away how do I do it please. Thanks
Same way as posting any other link...except do it when you are editting your sisnature.

in green bar at top, when you are logged in

"USER CP"

Down on left "edit signature"

to get the link to the post, go onto the post, click the post number at the top right, it will then open in another tab, then copy and paste from its navigation bar using (CTRL +C and CTRL +V)
It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)

NOTE TO MODERATORS...THE EMAIL ADDRESSES ARE ONLY EXAMPLES AND DO NOT (AS FAR AS I KNOW EXIST) PLEASE DO NOT DELETE AS THE EXAMPLES ARE REQUIRED FOR UNDERSTANDING...THANK YOU

A little-known fact about googlemail accounts is that you can have an unlimited amount of aliases for each account.

Most people are aware that for a googlemail account you can also use gmail as an alias.
e.g MyEmailAccount@googlemail.com is the same as MyEmailAccount@gmail.com

Just remember to sign in on the original one that you created;)

Another way of adding more (and unlimited) aliasses is the use of the +

eg MyEmailAccount+Anything@googlemail.com
or MyEmailAccount+NastyHorribleSiteThatMightSpamMe@googlemail.com

will all get directed to the same account.

The syntax is a plus sign after your account name, but before the "@"

This can be useful since you can then tell which company is selling your email addresses, or spamming you.

Obviously, for us it could get used for say

MyEmailAccount+Competition1@googlemail.com
MyEmailAccount+Competition2@googlemail.com
etc

each email will show up on most databases as a different entry,(therefore as a different email address), although it will get routed back to your original account.

Happy Couponning,
Have fun,

Think i've got what email addresses I can use,I do have a googlemail account( my son told me to set one up a while back) How do I seet them up? Do I just use them and they'll def appear in my inbox because the first part is my actual google mail address..just off to try and send myself a message or 2 and see if they arrive....7am and Im doing techie stuff and think i might have to go and have a lie down already!!

The ones I sent to myself with the +1 after username but with googlemail were delivered, but when i used my user name and gmail after the @ they weren't

ooooerrr! they are there...just not listed seperately...in my inbox just says has a '2' after my name , to say 2 messages there...I'm amazed...it's quite easy really, just as you said, just takes a while for thickies to understand.....thanks VC...what can I say? Absolute star !!!So now got 4 email address on googlemail that even I can remember....

Amazingly enough Dr W-W...I can answer this...dont faint...you don't have to set them up...just go to wherever you normally send emails and send yourself one to the googlmail address you have set up...then...add a + after the bit before title you used( before the @)and send that to yourself and it will appear in your googlemail inbox...thenn do the same with both those addresses 1 with a + and 1 without but type in gmail after the @ and you'll get those as well....I've surprised myself here...but it works...4 emails addresses just like that !!! as TC ( not VC) would say....when you receive them in your googlemail inbox they should have a (2) in brackets after the emails that were to the gmail and the googlemail , showing there are 2 messages there for you in each one....so you will see 2 messages in your inbox both a 2 after them ...open each and HEY PRESTO and there is another message in there...i did it sending Test 1/Test2/Test3/Test4...and then after the penny dropped I saw how it had worked.......brain about to explode now....do you think i could get a job in IT now????

Unusual for firefox to be "juddery" sounds like something is conflicting with it:confused:

yet again VC you have come up with the answer to my problems - thank you but I wondered if there is anything I can do to rectify the coflict
Also I have noticed that firefox is quite slow too now conpared with last time I downloaded so there mjust be something wrong to be causing this - probably whatever is causing the conflict I would think:confused:
also I have kept IE as a browser as you said I culd do that but not my main one and when I use it I get a message 'adds ons disabled' and am asked do I want to have add ons but if memory serves when I loaded Firefox and chose to have add-ons that is how it became my main browser so I wondered if I put add one onto IE will it then revert to being my main bowser and interfere with Firefox
I am not a beige person:D

To resolve conflict, try closing all applications and processes that you do not require to be running. (You can open task manager by pressing control, shift and escape together to see what applications and processes are running.)

Adding add-ons shouldn't affect the default browser, however
you can change your default browser to firefox by doing this
and to IE by doing this
