Evening all !!!
Well what a hot day !!
Lovely - too hot to go outside -- well, we had to take MIL to town and guess what I bought -- too easy -- yes, some more colourways for the " log cabin " blanket. On our return it was Andy Murray and for a little change some cardmaking in front of the telly ( makes the cutting skewiff !!)
Anyway DOH cooked a lovely pasta dish ( with 1 glass of Spanish vino collapso!! ) So now its back to knitting and Masterchef.
Gentle thoughts to all who need them and jumping jacks to all those celebrating.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
It's our anniversary today 42yrs
I've had a lovely day we went shopping and got the last bits for our few days away in Poole this weekend, then had a late lunch 3:30 at the Stag ooo it was lovely I had a steak sizzler havent had steak in ages
Then we went over to DS2,Dil and DGS I took him the Thomas jumper I knitted for him and he loved it, had to put it on and before long he was boiling it had to come off.
He is growing really quickly so I made it a bit big and it will fit him in the winter(there's a pic of it on Wooligans if anyone wants to see it)
OH has put a couple of shandy's in the fridge so I will go pour them out, I was going to have wine but I drink it so quickly when I am hot and dry and end up....well you really would not want to know.....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Take care and enjoy whats left of the evening all
Anne

RE;’ Last saturday we took my GN for his first horse riding lesson at my friends stables now i have 11 horse fly bites which are driving me made’
Are you sure they’re not mosquito bites, because I have terrible problems with them & allergic reaction, I swear they they were the cause of my M.E. getting so bad since I moved here.
I never get bitten abroad, just here!
RE the hot weather & knitting/crochet
I find talcum powder handy!
and just for a laugh .........
Fred and his wife Edna went to the state fair every year. Every year Fred would say, "Edna, I'd like to ride in that there airplane."
And every year Edna would say, "I know Fred, but that airplane ride costs ten dollars, and ten dollars is ten dollars."
One year Fred and Edna went to the fair and Fred said, "Edna, I'm 71 years old. If I don't ride that airplane this year I may never get another chance."
Edna replied, "Fred that there airplane ride costs ten dollars, and ten dollars is ten dollars."
The pilot overheard them and said, "Folks, I'll make you a deal. I'll take you both up for a ride. If you can stay quiet for the entire ride and not say one word, I won't charge you, but if you say one word it's ten dollars."
Fred and Edna agreed and up they go. The pilot does all kinds of twists and turns, rolls and dives, but not a word is heard. He does all his tricks over again, but still not a word.
They land and the pilot turns to Fred, "By golly, I did everything I could think of to get you to yell out, but you didn't."
Fred replied, "Well, I was going to say something when Edna fell out of the plane, but ten dollars is ten dollars."

Hi everyone, been away a little while.
re the update, I have only done 1 Angel Pocket, not 4 but it can get sorted next time around if that's easiest so don't worry too much.
I have done some more knitting in the week I have been away but will add them to the next update as I didn't have computer access.
Hope everyone is well and best wishes to all.

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all well.
DON - I've put your totals right. Sorry about that.
Maytaurus - lovely post, pics and links! And I loved Fred and Edna!! I hope you have a good day today. Talking of S.A.D. - have you tried one of the special lamps you can buy? Might be worth thinking about, especially as the UK has lots of gloomy days.
PSSO - good luck to your DH today.
Well, another evening with no crocheting done. DH didn't get back from work until late, then we had some paperwork to sort out, then, suddenly, it was bedtime. I'm going to try and get all my work done as soon as he leaves at 7 this morning, then try and catch up with things, woolwise.

Well, I was up early again this morning; too hot to sleep, despite having a fan blowing all night. I shall be having a snooze this afternoon to make up for it.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

morning all - just getting ready to go to french class - another day in this heat. i feel like i am going to melt in there - the classroom faces into the sun during the morning and all of the windows are closed as there is loads of noise (due to roadworks) outside. oh well, i am sure that its only for another few days, we cant expect this lovely weather to last too long.
PSSO - good luck for today - our thoughts are with you.
maytaurus - lovely to see you, loved fred and edna and also the new link for new patterns that i have not yet discovered.
oh well, i hope that i am more productive today (on the crochet front) - didn't finish my homework until 5 yesterday afternoon and then had the ironing and the dinner to get ready ... is so hard being a student again.
must dash - have a wonderful, fantastic and bright and beautiful day everyone.
