Sami - I didn't have my bag when they started my induction. i wasn't allowed home so had to tell OH over the phone what to pack. Clever bloke even managed to work out what breast pads were!

LOL Sami - I've packed my bag because I have already had to pop into hospital a couple times and didn't want to have my poor DH frantically running around trying to put together a bag at the last minute - would frighten me to think of what he'd pack!

Ok, I'll not worry about not having packed a bag - but I've haven't bought anything! I will do soon cos it will be easier to tell hubby what to bring in from home, but I'll have no chance telling him what to go and by from Boots!

NMS it would possibly be easy to send OH to boots he could just buy one of everything on the shelf and I'm sure most of it would be useful :rotfl: my problem is everything is all over the place too I'm not sure I know where it is let alone be able to dirct OH to it!
Biggest prob for me is if I do start now the house is in no fit state to give birth in so I would choose go to hosp - doesn't help that I put my FB status as 'feels sick' this morning coz I did and my friend is all oooh labour soon  stop wishing my baby early!!

I never realised Elle had already had her baby too....I really do hope they are both okay. If anyone would like to recap that would be great.

I'll try to quickly sum up what happened. Started getting contractions a fortnight gone Monday. Went to hospital and they were coming 3 in every ten minutes. Pain was gradually getting worse but when they examined me I wasnt dialated at all, which was obviously good but the pain was getting worse. They thought I had something that was causing the pain and contractions that was unrelated to the pregnancy but I didnt. I was sure it was to do with my bump.

They were talking about delivering me but didnt have a space in the special care unit so she would have to have been transferred an hour or so away, without me as i wasnt stable enough. They decided to leave me and see how things went. They left me till the next day but then decided to deliver.

They thought i might have had appendicitis, so were going to deliver me with a spinal block but then put me to sleep to investigate. I have been cut up and down on the outside instead of the normal c section but accross in my uterus.

When the opened me they found a fibroid attatched to something? ( they described it as a conker on a string) and it was wrapping itself around the membraines of baby. They also said I was very lucky not to have gone to full term as she had a true knot in her cord ( she'd knotted it herself and apparantly its quite unusual and can be fatal when giving birth naturally as it cuts off her suppply). I'd never heard of it before.

She came out screaming but quickly stopped and needed to be revived. She was ventilated and put in special care. They advised she would be in there till her due date but has progressed so quick and amazed the hospital staff. She was being fed through a tube but is now full breast fed.

It was so hard going, try to express milk every three hours, sit with Rose and manage to eat etc but its so worth it now she's home.

I will be keeping my fingers crossed that things go well for Elle too x
