You will find these games in most stores but its pot luck if you find any with the stickers on, its worth going and checking again if they don't have any first time they suddenly spring up from nowhere.0

Interesting recent posts - and everyone being nice too :T
Consider the DVD 24 Series 4 - this was mispriced a few months back.
IIRC Since this time Tesco have had this priced at:
£19.97
£20.97
£24.97
£39.97
£44.97
So I guess what I'm trying to say is that unless there is a shortage of Jack Bauer and pals then Tesco is quite happy to charge unreasonable prices for some items.
Does rather counter the anti-R&R argument - from a certain perspective anyway.....:o

Hi, on the misprice thread someone mentioned a machine in Tesco extra stores that was showing special offer prices for playstation games. I've tvs on showing clips from games/films etc is this it, has anyone successfully had an R&R if these advertise the wrong price.
Thanks

FloHowever in the past I had been successful with something along these lines. When Narnia DVD came out you might remember the farce of the £9.76 / 9.75/ 9.79 / 9.99 / 12.95 / 14.7? prices depending on when and where you visited a store. Most stores finally caved in and took all the prices down and left you to find the price at the till rather than risking informing you first only to find it was different at the till
In one store, not my local, and not even near as I was out for the day .... there were no prices for that DVD in sight and I was resigned to never being able to get one (I had been late into that thread and not been successful at this point). I was about to leave when the booming TV advert on the screen above the DVD section started, all about Narnia, showed the picture of the single Disc DVD version and said "for only £9.76" along with a big price tag next to and image of the DVD box ... so in the abscence of any other pricing anywhere in the store displays I figured time to be adventurous
I bought the single DVD, and I think it was £14.7? ... headed down to the CS desk. The lady there recoiled at the sight of that DVD so i suspect MSE'ers had already been there and thats why all the prices were down. I said, this is advertised at £9.76 aand they charged me £14.7? and quick as a flash she said they arent advertising it at that price, we took all the prices down. So I said I can show you and started off to lead the way .... she got past me and went to the first and second small displays they have at aisle ends, no prices, then the large end display at the DVDs, no tags, she was in the DVD aisle now and I could see the advert just before Narnia finishing... she couldnt see any prices there so turned to me and said OK no prices anywhere so what they charged at the till is the correct price. The booming voice above her head started .... "Narnia out on DVD...." I pointed up to the large TV above her head and said look here it comes again ..... "only £9.76 for the single DVD ..." and then the picture showed. I wish she had said out loud what she was thinking, but I think i can imagine itOne call to the Entertainment section and a Manager and staff came came scurrying and she just pointed up to the display and told them the Narnia price error is on there too.... which in the end was all I needed.
Like I say I only go for dead certs these days, but that one was sweet as I had almost missed out on Narnia despite it being a countrywide error over a weekend... and I almost missed out because I wasnt checking the forums often enoughI suspect what I am trying to say very long windedley, if there are no other prices about, then you would have to assume the one on the games / tv display to be right, but if they have a SEL in place that is correct and an incorrect tv display you are going to be getting into the realms of how lucky do you feel and how much time do you have to stand your ground and wait.

Interesting point, but it still makes me wonder if your local corner shop offered R&R, whether you'd (not you personally but a person who does R&R) would be happy to demand a refund? Guess it's more of a hyperthetical question but the only reason local stores are around is because they can't compete... Like the only reason we eat beef is because there isn't much they can do about it... It's just evolution, survival of the fittest etc.0 -
I'd seriously think about speaking with your local trading standards office about this store as if you have been banned three times for availing yourself of r&r then there is a clear pattern established that this particular store is attempting to prevent the identification of mispricing in an effort to continue doing so or not fulfilling their obligations, this would be a strong case for prosecution I suspect if you can substantiate dates, products, produce receipts and bans etcFour guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

However there is a downside here, if the OP does indeed go to TS and tries to get a prosection against them, they could also be in trouble for Tresspassing. All Tesco stores are private land and the fact that they've been banned is one thing, but three times....Titch0 -

Aren't we suppose to be living in a free contry?Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -
That's assuming of course they have identified the individual and given them fair notice of fear of prosecution and of course we are talking about the same store so the Tesco entity doesn't event enter the equation, again they would have an opportunity to explain why the exclude someone and subsequently allow them free access to their premises, there are lots of if's and but's but none of them alter the fact that an attempt is being made to prevent the exposure of an illegal practice which in our justice system I think you will find is an arguement for attempting to pervert justice shall I go on?Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0
