The post office prices are online, but you will need to have a good idea of the weight of your item.
I have got a set of digital kitchen scales that I use, I tend to go up a price to allow for the weight of the wrapping.

  • thanks for that whatatwit, i will take a look.

things im hoping to sell off first are going to be magazines, a few books, computer cables/bits n bobs what i dont use.

then i will maybe move onto more bigger stuff, i still have all my old action men toys, and ive had a look online and people seem to still want them:)

I found a whole load of 1970's/80s Woman's Own magazines in good condition under the carpets and underlay of our house (previous owner). I posted in the forums for ideas if art students or collectors might be interested and one MSEer told me to just recycle them...

Thankfully I didn't... I contacted a website selling old issues. They were interested and asked me to list the date and cover photograph of each issue I had. Took an evening with OH helping me.

    Edit: Sale fell through!
  • well done milkybars for not taking the first amount £350 is quite alot for some old mags, especially when u found them left over from the previous owner:).

reading this thread ive been really suprised at what people will buy and just looking around my room, i have lots of stuff just cluttering my wardrobes up:eek:...really looking forward to the weekend now and lose my ebay selling virginity lol.

Milkybar - can you tell us the name of this website which buys old mags?

I'm begining to regret throwing out 10 years worth of teen mags I had. It was my mums fault as she moaned at me for keeping everything

It's always a good idea to check the postage costs on simular items to yours too.
