Ok, I should probably explain why I had chocolate for brekkie :(

It's the anniversary of losing my Mum today so I'm feeling a bit down, it's been 8 years but still remember things vividly  & still miss her very much.

Been to see my Dad & he's subdued too. Wanted me to buy him fish & mushy peas for his lunch & I ended up getting chips & curry sauce for me. Obviously emotional eating runs in the family :o

    Anyway, I'll feel better tomorrow.

Awww im sorry to hear that sweet :) hope you feel better soon. I know it must be really hard. Just try and remember the good times and hopefully it might cheer you up abit.
  • marrowgirl, hope you feeling better now. Definitely low blood sugar & not low blood pressure?? I know that can make you feel a bit squiffy too. Hope you get on ok at Doc tomorrow. Presume they will take blood, do tests etc. Good luck.

Gosh i wish i wasnt always hungry :( ive eaten everything i brought to work with me today apart from an apple.

    Breakfast - apple
lunch - chicken drumsticks with broccoli and carrots
snack - flax cookie i made at home :) (i just ate this and i know i should have saved it for later lol) and an apple for later.
dinner - is fish with more broccoli but it wont be until 7pm now.

    hiya!

What plan are you following? Can't help thinking two apples will mess with your blood sugar. If you have a plan of choice it's handy to put it in your sig so we can offer advice if you want it. Maybe next time take a couple of sausages, boiled egg, cheese. extra drumstick :) instead of the fruit? They will fill you up more and stabilise your sugar, therefore insulin. This should stop sudden hunger. I'm never really hungry eating like this but know when it's time to eat.

    Hello again!

Well chuffed! Got Tesco delivery early on in time slot and all was present! Best of all, £10 discount was honoured!

Imagine my glee! Most of the order was cat food :) I have no transport so 5x12 tins isn't easy :) £40 of the order was servicing cats! Still will last us 6 weeks or so.

Just about getting peckish, still don't know what to eat, think I'm getting a touch of the mazzers :) Reckon it's to do with the ketosis thang. I'll either have sausies and salad or a mockolate.

The sausies needed cooking so done two packs. They'll do for lunches for rest of week and maybe a dinner too. Have to trumpet the sausages in Lidl. Cooked results are between 1.2 and 1.7g per 100g (400g per six in pack) so very good. They don't shrink much at all and are between 85 and 92% pork :)

The one's I cooked today were pork, and pork and herbs. I had the pork and leek for lunch and they were very good. Fat thick sausies with resistance when you bite :) I haven't used such firm and tasty ones in a while :) Hope I'm not getting to freudian onyas :o But they have impressed me wholeheartedly :rotfl:

Yummy, like you wouldn't believe :rotfl:

Any chance you could look on the label of one of those tins and see if there is a Carb/protein/fat/fibre nutritional guide. I've been writing a post about cat diabetes and need to know just how much carbs typical cat food contains.
I'm sure the paleo cat diet (or wild cats) would have a very low carb intake. Our cat eats plenty of self caught rabbit and there can't be many carbs in a rabbit carcass. There is probably some in the mice/rats she eats as they eat carbs and there must be some carbs left in their digestive systems.
I'm guessing 5% max for wild cats.
The cat crunchies our cat has between hunting for itself contain almost 50% carbs so it's no wonder cats get diabetes.
I wondered if the tinned stuff has more Protein/fat?

    OK, Supplements

There have been questions asked which none of us really addressed.
Happy to list mine, I have an hour to spare :rotfl:

5000iu Vitamin D - for all the good reasons
    500mg slow release vit C - I don't eat fruit
Vit B complex - recent addition, will see how it goes
    90mg Co Q10 - heart and gums
Vitamin E - makes best use of CoQ10
    2000mg Omega 3 - changing the 6:3 balance
100mg 5HTP - possible appetite reduction and mood lifting
150mg magnesium - making sure, has connotations with vitD effectiveness
K-2 100mcg - again, good for vitD usage
550mg cod liver oil - tried doing without after 15 years regular use and developed crepitus* (after 4 weeks) so am doing it again, crepitus diminished within 1 week.

*crepitus - crackling in joints. Always have some but started getting it in thumbs and hands, which I've never had before. Will never run out of cod liver oil again :)

Hope this helps anyone reading who wonders what to take. I've given my reasons, so you know a little about my reasoning.

Recommend VitD in effective amounts and cod liver oil.

VitD has improved my circulation so that I very seldom get cold weather white finger - used to get it a lot. It has also made it so I tan, rather than burn. This is proven in my life and I'm grateful. There are many other benefits - see some of Ted's posts:rotfl:

Cod liver oil - both my parents have some arthritis, I know it helps my joint health as I've illustrated.
