    I'm back, for good!!!! :j :j :j

After the doom and gloom from my consultant I went today to my termination appointment and spoke to another consultant (so so glad I got a secind opinion) and it's not as bad as I was told. True, I have a 40% chance of blood pressure problems again but only a 5% chance of another abruption!!! Which compared to being told 2 weeks ago that I would be lucky to get to 24weeks, would probably die etc, is just the most amazingly wonderful news!!!!

I am 8/7weeks today, so due 31st August or 1st September??? Although Iwe are expecting it to be earlier.

I'm high risk but will be under a specialist consultant and seen every 2 weeks till 24 weeks by my mw and then weekly from 24 weeks by my consultant for bp checks, urine checks and bloods and fortnightly scans.

Oh, baby number 3, minera coil that went awol. Two boys, DS1 7, DS2 3 who also has mild cerebral palsy (Hemiplegia).

:D:D:D:D:D I'm keeping my baby and I am so happy!!!!!! If I had gone through with the termination today I would have regretted it the rest of my life, it never felt right for me and just so glad I got a second opinion at the last hour!!!

Tiamai_d, I'm so happy to read your post. That is wonderful news, how great that you got a second opinion. I hope your pregnancy will be as easy as possible. Will your MW visit you at home, or do you have to go to the Surgery every two weeks?

tiamai, that's great news! A friend of mine had a sister who had similar sounding problems, she got pre eclampsia and an emergency CS at 28 weeks with No1 baby 2 was born at 24 weeks and her 3rd she managed to hold onto for 34 weeks! (She sadly lost a baby and had 2 terminations in between on medical advise, don't know if she got 2nd opinions though...)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Tine - fingers crossed your boobs behave ;) I don't know how you manage to carry those puppies around all the time
AF - glad you've sorted the pram! there is a qs not too far away in another town but I don't go there unless I'm carpet shopping as everything else round ther is closer to home anyway IYKWIM I've never been in that one tho is it just clothes that they do?
I just can't beleive that they've replaced a style of pants tho it defies my logic!

I've just seen a news story about a mum that gave her baby cpr while waiting for an ambulance and I thought I should let you ladies know that you should probably think about learning how to do it just in case, I know that Tesco run courses as part of their baby & toddler club and I learned it at a group called "headstart" that was run by the HVs with Surestart
story here if you're interested http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20090126/tuk-mum-s-cpr-saves-tot-four-times-45dbed5.html

    great news Taimai_d

It's lovely to hear really good news on the board. :D Plus we'll make sure you look after yourself - we can be rather bossy, but it has it's good points :D

I'm off to start making a hot chilli for dinner before treating myself to watching the drivel that is Neighbours and Home and Away :D

I've had such a lovely day today and it's passed quickly that I am still on a positive high - I feel like I could tackle anything right now (esp my rugby player of a hubby when he gets home!) :D
