  • Hello lay-dees :D

Just caught up after being out on site all day...a few thoughts:

Tia Mai - fantastic news, i am SO pleased for you.

Evans non-wired bras are actually quite supportive and have been great for me - I have gone up from a 34 to a 42 back size but I am still an E cup  The ones I have bought from there have beat mothercare hands down.

Shellsuit - I am still stubbornly in my thongs and intend to stay there for the next 5 weeks (haven't found them uncomfortable at all) once Bubba arrives I have bought some cheap bikini-type knickers from Tesco and Ethel Austin which I will wear with my maternity surfboards but I am really not looking forward to them!

Krystal - congrats on becoming viable! It's a lovely feeling isn't it :D

Pain-relief....I had a long chat with my MW about this and she said it is the ones who say 'I definitely won't have any' that end up having the most pain relief and asking for it earliest!! I reckon I will go with the flow but I hope for as little as possible.

Valentines Day - I hate VD and don't 'do' it at all - I don't think hubby could believe his luck when he met me!! I said to hubby the other day 'have we got any plans for valentines day?' and he said 'you may be pregnant but I am not that stupid' :rotfl:

35 weeks today so have hunted out a large holdall to pack as a hospital bag. Going to wash the first of Bubba's things this week (MIL is coming to do the ironing later in the week so thinking blankets & sheets must be washed before she arrives!!)

    Hugs to all

Finally managed to speak to someone. Seeing Nurse on Thursday, and Consultant wants to see me again, so should hopefully get an appointment by early Feb.

Thinking about going away for a few days for my B'day in a couple of week, thinking about the Isle Of Wight - what do you guys think?

    go for it!
Me and OH are going to Scotland on 20th Feb.
We wanted to have a weekend away without DS before the baby comes as it will be nigh on impossible to once we've got the 2 kids.

 Hello everyone, I'm mad that my GP went to the trouble of getting me a scan but when the midwife phoned my home she wouldn't speak to my husband and she rang my mobile which I wasn't near, as was busy at work, and didn't leave a message or number :cry:

Anyway, did anyone hear about the couple whose midwife sued them for failing to provide a safe workplace because she stumbled or tripped on something, Still no outcome - will be interesting to see what happens ...... :)
  • Feelie - that's good news about nurse and Feb is only a week away now! Glad things have progressed.

I think IOW is a great idea - blow the cobwebs away a bit, a change is as good as a rest etc etc....although it is a bit of a trek down south isn't it? Just thinking about being comfortable on the journey?

The lakes is not so far - or the Derbyshire dales?

Having said that ANYWHERE would be good!!

Is hubby still off the cigs?

ooh got my holiday conformation today! :j
And my neighbour has just given me a massive bag full of boys bits, mainly vests and sleepsuits, she's having twin girls so no use for them.
I went through the sack she had and picked it all out!

We're down in Hampshire at the moment. From Manc orginally, but here for work. Luckily OH has a wonderfully comfortable car, but he gets annoyed at me having to stop at every services on the journey home now!

Its been a month without cigs! He is starting to be a bit more normal, which is great.

They'll have fudge on IOW won't they? I need fudge.
