Sounds like you're really making the most out of that turkey - well done!
Sorry to hear about the calf, that doesn't sound very fun I hope it gets better soon.

Definitely Charly, gave me the motivation to keep on plodding!
After yesterday's NSD today was a bit more spendy- £6.44 in Sains & £5.73 in Aldi for some groceries (including ibuprofen gel for the calf). Picked up cheap chicken thighs so will cook some tonight for dinner (recipe link below) and roast the others off to make a chicken pie for tomorrow as have two friends over! Carrot & coriander soup is bubbling on the stove for lunches using those 35p carrots
Calf is giving a lot of pain today so other than cooking I think it's a tv for one night- will keep checking surveys to see if can up those! Had a prolific one but it gets to the video bit and keeps cutting out so it's not meant to be.
Took the second suit back to sainsburys today at lunch and got the £73 refunded which I'm pleased about as I'm usually awful at returning things!
Sorted out work sharesave scheme today: decided to stop my store vouchers from May and will put the £110 into sharesave, with an added £30 for good measure- so £140 going in from salary for 36 months. That should be a nice £5040 in three years plus any additional if the share price goes up (at the current rate I'd make a tidy £1000 but I'm just pleased to be saving with minimal efforts

Your meals always sound amazing, thank you for the inspiration. I hope the gel helps with the calf, sounds very painful.0

Thanks ETE I love trying new recipes and am a bit of a grocery splurger so I'm trying to reign it in! I do however still have 3 bunches of asparagus in the chest freezer from when it was 39p at Lidl/Aldi (I forget which!)
Just made an OP....drum roll please....13p! I do wish I could throw serious money at this but it's a marathon not a sprint....baby steps all the way!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

DH has been in several Sharesave schemes through work but unfortunately only once has the share price been an increase on the opening price, but it was still nice to receive a big fat cheque for all the money we'd saved without any effort!
PS Don't knock it - I'd love to be able to pay 13p off at a time!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I agree with TMV... it's good to be able to pay small amounts. Our last mortgage with the Bank of Ireland let us pay off 10% of the year's start balance but you couldn't make one off payments, they had to be from a standing order.... minimum of £1000 per month! we didn't actually overpay a penny for the two years we were with them, so 13p is actually a big improvement on them!Mortgage: Mar 2018 -£300,000 / Jul 2021 -£255,000

Yes, it's definitely good to be able to send any pennies across. 33p sent today so it soon adds up. We're at £15.77 for March made up of these little tilly tidies, pinecone surveys & the change jar
Pay day is now a week away- looking forward to OP'g the council tax of £130 this month and bumping the OP figure a little.
NSD today again- took in some flatbreads mum in law made, with scrambled eggs made at home and heated up with leftover spaghetti hoops. Due to a busy work day and hobbling around I had breakfast at lunch so didn't eat my carrot soup so will have it tomorrow.
Made the pie for dinner with friends. Last nights chicken in a bechamel with mustard sauce with leeks and sweet corn. Turned out to be delicious with the filo topping. Dinner went well but friends were late and one seemed a little out of sorts really. Bestir and I sat watching kerrang until 11pm (making good usage of my sky subscription!)
Working from home now tomorrow as struggling to drive with the dodgy leg so it's a later start in the morning.
Some Onepoll surveys completed tonight earning £1.20, am now past the £20 mark so I'm pleased with that!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).

Nice little notification on my phone this morning- £22.50 comfirmed from quidco for my car insurance. Result! I have made the withdrawal request and added it to my accounts app to do the money shuffle to the mortgage when it clears.
83p tilly tidy sent this morning as groceries from Monday debited this morning. Due to payday in 6 days there should be no more money shuffled until the 15th.
This month and March (as payday is 15th I work from 15th-14th as a month) are looking pretty tight as I'm wiping off the remainder of the credit card as the 0% ends in April.
This credit card was an education for me as I (rather foolishly) balance transferred my ex fiances credit card balance, which he'd wracked up with just daily spending and being lax. It's been a painful lesson to learn as we split three years ago now (he's now married with his first child , from this relationship, on the way). I believe the banks no longer let you balance transfer from a different name which is good to see as probably protects people from being a little naive.
Good news is it is nearly gone, and there's wiggle room in my budget to get the cat flap fitted in the patio door this month
Have had confirmation of my annual bonus rating being achieving which is good (it's been a turbulent year) so just waiting to find out what the translates to in bonus figures (anything above £500 after tax would be amazing) and also in pay increase, if any. Fingers crossed for me lovelies :heartpulsFirst home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
