Very fun weekend although had a disappointing email that my flight booking has been cancelled :( they've taken the funds out but cancelled the booking!

I've emailed them for the refund and will rebookas soon as it's in through another company if we can!

There may have been a few tears so I've then gone for a nice walk for anhour in the sunshine to stop me moping!

That's rubbish about the flights - was a reason given? And poor that you then have to request a refund! Definitely rebook - it sounds very exciting! :)

What a pain about the flight, but the mud run sounds awesome, if a little dirty!

I'm really sorry about the flights and the disappointment it caused. I hope they refund you ASAP so you can rebook and continue to look forward to it.

Other than that, what an amazing (and messy) weekend! Sounds like you made some fun memories that will last :)

Hey folks it's been a few days since I posted: spent the early part of the week up north with work so had an expenses paid dinner out (Nandos again!) and lots of gym usage whilst it was in the hotel!

Refund has now been received for the flights (difference of £18 though I believe due to exchange rate etc), but gf has had a spanner thrown in the works as her brother wants the car she uses back....so an expensive service & Mot this month (£750) is using all her quarterly bonus up, and then she'll look at whether to get another car....so holding off on rebooking the flights until we know the financial impact :(

All quite disappointing but sensible I guess! More exciting news is we pick up Hugo & Oscar tomorrow afternoon! We've been shopping around places for the stuff needed (bowls, litter trays, collars etc) so think we're pretty sorted :D cannot wait to see their fluffy faces tomorrow :lovethou

eBay sales netted £46 after postage which isn't too shabby so will pack it all up this morning and drop it at the drop off point. Transferred £35 to the joint bills account to ensure we didn't get overdrawn from the kitten spending, £5 across to mortgage as a nominal OP whilst we're in a bit of a transitional financial position.

Lady coming to collect the bangle she commissioned tonight so that's £40 back in the jewellery making budget :D

Oh and I've just about cleaned the mud off!!

Gym routines getting back on track- Monday night did a lot of cardio, Tuesday morning a spin class (@hotel) and last night a 5km run and 15 minutes stepper so trying to keep that going...thighs do kill though!

Sorry to hear about the car and the exchange rate difference :(

On the positive side, it looks like you're doing well with your eBay sales :) Well done on getting the painful bit done of listing them all. Glad you got some sales to make it worthwhile!
