Kaupthing Edge - Login problems

Hi

Just wanted to try and find out if anyone else has been having problems logging into their Kaupthing Edge accounts?

This has been the 3rd night running where I've been greeted with "unexpected server error" messages from their website, at a time I wouldn't consider "peak" (9pm). I've also come across an intermittent glitch where it refuses to accept password characters one minute - but will accept them fine the next.

Not inspiring too much confidence at present I must admit....

Works fine here at the moment. I've not experienced any problems recently.

    Hi Solarwind

Thank God it's not just me! LOL.

I had exactly the same problem! I've only just opened the account and was trying to log in for the first time only to find it simply wouldn't accept characters from my memorable word. I think it finally accepted them on the fifth attempt, after which I managed to transfer £100 into the account. I'm not sure how quickly I'll be moving the rest of my savings there though! I may just settle for less interest on a more reliable account!

wasn't it down at the weekend while they upgraded something or other? Might of just took them longer to sort out what ever they are doing...

Is there any chance that it wouldn't accept your characters from the memorable word because you entered a typo? I've never had problems with this part of the process and I would be surprised if this was a system failure.

Well obviously that was my first thought but as my memorable word is my mother's maiden name, and they were asking for letters 1, 2 and 3 (in that order), there was no way I could have made a mistake.

It simply rejected it four times before finally accepting it on the fifth – the same three letters it was saying were wrong on all the other times.

Did you capitalise the first letter?

genieuk, have you telephoned them, they are normally very quick on the phone.

Never, as yet, had a problem with access/login.

Yes Genny just spoke to them very helpful. Gave me another temporary password as I had just managed to lock my self out. But unfortunately temporary doesn't work either now.

There is now a message on the log-in page explaining what to do and to say they are updating the system.
