Hello
My log-in attempts don't appear to coincide with their upgrades or other issues. I emailed them anyway and got the following:-
"Thank you for your email. I'm sorry hear that you are having some difficulties. We have recently upgraded out system and are aware there has been an issue which we are currently looking into. We are confident it will be resolved shortly so please can I ask that you try to log on again later. If you experience any further difficulties please don't hesitate to get back in touch."
Have to say, they are extremely helpful on the phone too. Although the lady I spoke to did acknowledge a problem with the entering of passwords not being recognised.
I'll stick it out and see how it progress; thanks for the replies! :T

Well obviously that was my first thought but as my memorable word is my mother's maiden name, and they were asking for letters 1, 2 and 3 (in that order), there was no way I could have made a mistake.
Yes, but your memorable word has to be entered in full. It's your password that they require three characters from.....Stompa0 -
I have found that whenever they ask for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd letters of my memorable word (in that order) it always says my memorable word is wrong. Hitting refresh and trying again has sorted it every time so far though. Weird.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

No, as it was my first ever log in they were asking me for the password in full (the one they issued by post which I couldn't change without logging in) and then on the next screen, three letters from my memorable word. Obviously I know my mother's maiden name, and how to spell it, and as I said it did eventually accept the same three letters I had been entering.
There appear to be two different ways of logging in – one for people who opened the account before May 30th, and another for those who opened it after May 30th. Mine was opened after May 30th, and so far I'm not impressed...
If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.0 -

Glad mine was opened before then!Stompa0 -
Mine is a new account, opened this month, and I have never had any problem logging in.

Just registered a few days ago and getting exactly the same memarable word error - not a brilliant start is it... try the same memorable word and the system accepts it at the 3rd or 4th attempt. Whe trying to change the memorable word on the control panel, system replies word is incorrect even though i've just logged in with it ! I'm intending to invest a large (35k) amount - if their system is flawed when the bank is trading normally, how would it cope if a N Rock scare encased it ? Doesn't bear thinking about....Passionate about interior design, architecture, old buildings, new spaces.

I get exactly the same problem ! 80% of time I gain access at the first attempt, but other times it just will not accept my memorable word. I just give up and try a couple of hours later as it then usually works again.
I wonder if its anything to do with system account updating which locks out access to the account ? IF not, then this is obviously something that should concern KE and their customers as their is possibly a flaw in their secure system ?0 -

Just registered my account. Everything seems fine.
Just one thing comes up my mind when reading your post. Do you input the "right" memorable word? I ask that because I notice that the memorable word they asked for is "case sensitive".0 -
Hi Solarwind
Thank God it's not just me! LOL.
I had exactly the same problem! I've only just opened the account and was trying to log in for the first time only to find it simply wouldn't accept characters from my memorable word. I think it finally accepted them on the fifth attempt, after which I managed to transfer £100 into the account. I'm not sure how quickly I'll be moving the rest of my savings there though! I may just settle for less interest on a more reliable account!
