I didnt get asked to go in the office, they just gave me a form and said to fill it in and bring it back.
Got a quick question. For the application they want evidence of rent, 3 months bank statements, payment schdule from the slc which is fine but they also want a "financial notification form" does anybody have any clue what this is?0 -
I think it is the form the SLC send you at the beginning of the year it has red writting across the top and a request for your bank details at the bottom I think. It tells you the amount of student support you have been offered.:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

Can I just check how long everyones applications have taken? I applied for the ALF in October and was rejected in November. My uni tutor told me to reapply as she thought I should be a priority and that the department had made mistakes in the past.
I sent an appeal letter with more details on the 27/11/2006 and I still haven't had a response. How long has everyone elses applications taken? I have called them loads of times but they have told me that it is with the academic registrar and she is very busy!
Does anyone regulate the ALF?
Thanks

Takes about 2-3 weeks I believe, my housemate applied for it and thats about how long he had to wait. From what you said I would say its your Uni playing around it should'nt take that long in my opinion.:eek:0

At my university they meet to discuss applications on a wednesday so if you get your application in by friday it is assessed on the following wednesday and then they let you know on their decision.0

It took mine 4 weeks to be processed, I handed in at the end of Feb and I had the notification letter last Monday. Apparently the money will be credited on Monday 2nd and can take 7 days to reach my account
Anyone got any experience of recieving payments from the ALF? Is just that I need to pay my sons creche fees next week (that was my reason for applying in the first place!) but by my reckoning if it takes 7 days that will be the following week because of Easter etc. Anyone had this on their letter and got paid in less than 7 days? It just seems a bit long for a bank transaction to be processed! lol
Thanks,

I've been doing some of the matched betting schemes and casino bonus grabbing recently. Will this mean my chances of getting money is pretty slim?0

Im soo happy right now, I have just called uni and they have said that I am going to awarded just over £1000 I havent been able to pay nursery fees for the last month. Its been worth the wait.0

Great news newmum,
Good to hear that it is paying out for those that need it, and not for those who just want money to top up their matched betting! xGone ... or have I?0
